Dr. Winick and his staff are thorough and professional. It was the best evaluation and education that I have ever recieved concerning not only my oral health, but total body health.
About Front Desk: Very friendly.
About Hygienist: Masha was the first person who did not cause pain while taking x rays.

For some one that SAYS that care about patients health YEAH THINK ABOUT IT AGAIN!!! he should first care about his staff he just TERMINATED a great dental assistant job because she is 7 weeks Preg. and she told him she did not feel good on Taking XRAYS... HE FIRED HER.. he should know better that during the first trimester is un healthy for the featus to be expose to radiation. THIS CAUSE HER JOB because he stated that "if you can no longer take xrays so you can't work here".... VERY ABUSSIVE!!!! OVER CHARGES PATIENT FOR CLEANINGS AND TREATMENT. You can go to any dentist and get the same procedure. HE SAYS THAT HIS MATERIAL FOR FILLINGS ARE HOSLISTIC YES SO A LITTLE RESEARCH VENUS DIAMOD is very common in a genreal practice. FOR A CLEANING THEY USE BAKING SODA.... HIS STERALIZATION machine has been down for 2 weeks and have not fix it. NOT HOLISTIC to me ....

Dr. Winick is a very sweet & caring dentist. He makes you feel comfortable about getting work done & offers advice on alternative remedies for dental ailments. He's also very good about testing your gums for the potential for gum disease and then referring you to one of his excellent dental hygienists. If you can afford him, definitely go for it! He takes the fear & anxiety out of going to the dentist!

I am in the midst of treatment, but I am starting to doubt using this dentist.
I would agree with other user, cavities show up that weren't previously discussed, cavities bigger than originally discussed etc
I am really wondering if I can trust this doctor's advice.
It's heavy on the health spa type treatment - 4 star.
But is he out to keep his lifestyle 4 star, or is he acting as my dentist?
Sad to say - not sure.

Very pleasant dentist. I appreciate his holistic approach. The fees this office charges are higher then what the insurance company deems customary so you always have to pay out of pocket. In addition, there are also some procedures that this office performs that insurance does not cover. If cost was no object, then I would recommend this dentist. Office staff (depending on you get) can seem rigid at times.

He tended to be *very* drill-happy. One tooth that he treated needed to be treated a year later with a root canal. When I mentioned the pain in the tooth, I was told it must just be a benign nerve flare-up. Now, the root canal may have no connection to the filling he gave me, but the problem should have been treated when I first complained of the pain.

Dr. Winick is very well versed in more holistic procedures and very thorough. he is very expensive which is the catch. Overall he is a very good dentist and runs a good office with good staff.

The best holistic dentist in Manhattan. Dr. Winick is well versed in alternative dental practices and is a stellar general dentist, too. He has a thorough and complete website listing his beliefs.
