Last week I went in for my first cavity filling in 15 years - the previous one had been an absolute breeze. After four (4!) rounds of local anesthetic that didn't work and three rounds of painful attempted drilling, I decided I couldn't take any more and would try again another day. He "filled in" the part of the tooth he had been able to drill, but the filling just crumbled out tonight (9 days later). His chair-side manner was not terrible, but he wasn't very concerned about the stressfulness of the situation. He just kept telling me that he was shocked I could still feel anything after all the anesthetic and that he had never seen anything like it before. Not very calming or reassuring. The hygienist saw me shaking after he walked away and just asked if I was OK, and then left. I have never been someone to have any qualms about going to the dentist - I even had braces - but after this stressful experience I am afraid I will have fears of dentists for years. Also a thumbs down for Manus Northwestern - in 4 years they assigned me to three different dentists. Apparently they have a high turnover rate. I've found another dentist and would rather pay full price there than have my insurance pay for Dr. Teo/Manus Northwestern.

Excellent dentist but very expensive and does not accept insurance - you have to process everything after you pay the upfront fee through they do fill out the paper work for you.
Very holistic
