Before I went to Dr Basey I saw another dentist who told me I needed four crowns, root canals, and all this dental work . I've never even had a cavity. I was seen by Dr. Basey who did X-rays and told me I didn't need anything. The only thing I have done in extra cleanings because I am a cancer survivor still taking oral chemo drugs. He has been trying to save my teeth and so far has. He discusses options with you to make choices. I will evenly lose my teeth but I'm thankful to Dr. Basey for doing everything he has to keep them for now.

Dr. Thomas Basey is a terrible dentist. He rushes and does care care about his patients teeth. He just wants to make a lot of money and messes up the patients teeth. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Basey has an extremely relaxing, soothing effect on his patients. He has completed root canals, crowns and examinations for me, all completely pain-free. I have referred several family members to him and will continue to reccommend his services.

Dr. Basey preformed oral surgery on my daughter who at the time was 12 years old and we have taken our children to the Gentle Dental on the northside of town and we were told Dr. Basey was not qualified to do the work and he had put the tooth he pulled down in the wrong place. Both of our children were treated for ortho work by Dr. Basey and now they are having to go thru braces again because he has caused so many problems with their teeth. Of course Gentle Dental has transferred all the money we paid in to the other office but we are still being charged over a thousand dollars more to cover what I feel is Dr. Basey's mistakes. Be careful here.

He is okay, but you have to wait forever to be seen by him! I have had to wait at least an hour each time that I have had an appointment there! Every time. I wish I could just call ahead and say that I'm on my way, and then show up an hour late, so I don't have to wait in their lobby!

Every time I went in for my appointment, my average wait time was at least an hour past my scheduled appointment time. They were very unorganized and not very professional. The dentist himself was polite, but never was concerned with how long his patients had to wait to see him. I would not recommend this dentist office. It is not worth the wait!

He is overall a good doctor, but the facility, Gentle Dental is by no means great. Every front desk person or insurance lady has an attitude. They do not do things in a timely manner whatsoever.

AVOID. Assembly line feel to treatment. Office staff rude, indifferent. I had to get my first crown and the whole experience was torture. The assistant turned the gas on,it was too high, I was trying to tell her to turn it down, but she just left the room. Afterwards, it was obvious I couldn't walk well due to the gas; they just kicked me out the door. Even though crown is over a year old, it still hurts to bite on that tooth. I don't think that's normal. Basey's chairside- manners are semi-pleasant at most. Before treatment, expect to be pulled into the billing office and get a printout of stuff you NEED to have done...for the bargain price of thousands of dollars. It's like being at a car dealership and being insulted with clear coat protectant and under carriage coating. Again, AVOID.
