Do not believe the reviews you are reading about this dr. Joe, I have been to several dentists in la jolla, the service and quality of work was by far the worst. My 2 crowns and fillings fell out 2 weeks after placement. I went back to the dentist and he said " let's remake the crowns from American dental labs, your first ones were made. china". I have filed with the state and all dental societies, the doctor should not have a dental license, stay away!!!!

I always have excellent experiences with Dr. D'Angelo and his office staff. He is kind, considerate, gentle and an excellent dentist who completely changed my smile with 6 implants and 8 veneers. My smile looks so natural, I feel as if this was the smile I was always supposed to have. It fits perfectly and all the teeth feel perfectly natural too -- never any pain or pressure -- I've grown attached to them and constantly forget that they are implants.
I really can't thank Dr. D'Angelo enough for bringing a constant smile into my life.
About Hygienist: Excellent hygienist experience too. Very clean, but not a killer.

Dr. D' Angelo did my implant treatment. And although his work is not cheap, it is very professional. The facilities are really nice and his office staff are very attentive. The TVs in the ceiling are great!
About Hygienist: Very thorough, a bit rough at times but I felt like it was probably necessary for her to get at the hard to reach places.

Dr. D'Angelo is really a terrific dentist and a great guy who really cares about his patients. My implants look so natural that no one knows I've had work done. I would recommend him to anyone, especially for the quality of work and chair-side manner.

Full mouth restoration with top of the line porcelain crowns and veneers was agreed upon for a price. I was presented with a complete cost plan and paid it in full at the beginning of the 2 year treatment plan. BIG MISTAKE Cost increases took place twice in one year without disclosure to patient or statement to provided these details at the time. Chair side manner in my opinion was not pleasant or was the customer service that good (i.e. listening to the patient/customer as I had to state over and over again that I wanted whiter crowns closer to bleached teeth color - whiter than A1). Performed a very unsuccessful bone graff which failed and in my opinon should never have taken place in his office given my condition, I should have been referred to a surgeon. At times treatments were very painful with a chair-side manner that was somewhat harsh during long procedures.

I owe my incredible new - natural looking smile to Dr. Joe who is such a gentle dentist with such great people working in his office that I felt more like I was vising friends than having dental work done. He is the best dentist I've ever had, in my 40-plus years. I strongly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a dental artist who is a kind perfectionist .

Dr. Joe is a nice guy - great with kids - but expensive. His treatments are rarely covered by insurance since he does everything upscale. His offices are super cool with flat screen tvs on the ceiling and the latest technology... but you pay for it!

Dr. D'Angelo is incredible - I can't believe all the work I had done is beautiful and was pain-free! He is a gentle person and his friendly office made everything so easy - plus now I have a fantastic smile!
