I had a wonderful dentist for 20 years that was on Montana Avenue and he retired. OMG! (I thought) It's so hard to find a dentist you are totally comfortable going to and extremely hard in Los Angeles. But I was referred to Dr. Hand and I am happy to say that he is the best dentist I have ever been to in my 50 years of on and off dental problems. I call him Happy Hands because he has the best and most caring approach to dentistry! He really loves the profession he has chosen. He explains things very thoroughly and even more amazing, he calls you after your appointment to see how you are feeling! In LA, that's incredible. His receptionist and dental hygienist are wonderful and as upbeat as Dr. Hand. He's the best, so if you are in search of a dentist you will keep until HE retires, he's your man.

They don't take insurance here and are located in Santa Monica, but I drive from the valley and pay out of pocket, because this is the best dentist I've ever been to! It may sound crazy, but I honestly look forward to going to the dentist now. Dr. Hand and his staff are so caring, helpful, and knowledgeable. He explains everything with clarity and patience, remembers everything we've talked about and done since my first visit, and is willing to work with patients on the payment. I refer all of my friends to him.

Dr. Hand is fantastic. I'm complete dental-phobe and he is wonderful. He is oddly/wonderfully passionate about his practice and his profession. He knows all of the latest technology and truly cares about his clients. I don't have a bad word to say about him...

Hands down! Doctor Hand is the best dentist around. I've been seeing Dr. Hand for my entire life and he has always been pleasant, professional, and, most importantly, painless! In fact, Dr. Hand is so sympathetic that I actually feel like he is in more pain than I am when I feel even the slightest discomfort.
Dr. Hand is also a perfectionist in the best possible way. My teeth were chipped 15 years ago and Dr. Hand fixed them with porclein veneers. He made sure that they looked completely natural and perfect and they do! When I tell people that I have veneers on two of my front four teeth, they are shocked! Also, they are as solid today as when I had them first done.
I have referred him to a number of people and they all feel exactly the same way about Dr. Hand. I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Hand and his staff (especially Huey). You won't be sorry if you go to him.

Dr. Hand is the best! He was my very first, and very best dentist. When I lived in New York, I used to dream about flying out to visit Dr. Hand in Los Angeles rather than go to my crummy havoc-wreaking dentist. Highly recommended.
