I think Chester is a great dentist. A little pricey but I think he is one of the nest around. Hw actually brought up gum issues and taught me a thing or two about brushing that no one else had. He really tríes to look at the whole patient and not just teeth as separate from the body.

About Front Desk: Great, sweet front desk.

Dr. Yokoyama replaced my amalgam fillings with composites. He did a perfect job. My teeth fit together perfectly, and the entire procedure was relaxing and stress-free. He is very careful to use non-toxic holistic materials, and went way out of his way to give me referrals when I needed him. He has a great professional manner, and is courteous and thorough. Working with him has been nothing but a pleasure.

Dr. Yokoyama is a caring, very conscientious dentist who practices holistic, state of the art dentistry. I found him through the internet in my search for a dentist who could attend to a cracked molar that worsened considerably when an endodontist made me bite down on a wooden stick to diagnose it. Unllike that ten min $150 consult, Dr. Yokoyama examined me gently and thoroughly for almost a full hour (same cost). He wears a headlamp and magnifying lenses when examining teeth. Also, he wears a pager and will call you back if you have a dental emergency. In fact, the first time I spoke with him, I was not even his patient--just a person in a lot of pain. My kids see him now, and I am completely impressed by his bedside manner and his tools, He uses an anesthetic machine that slowly drips novocaine through a hair-thin needle into the mouth to prevent the tearing of gums that results from the typical fat injection needle most dentists use. He uses a laser, rather than a drill, to remove the minimum amount of enamel for filling cavities. He does not use fluoride. He is a former member of the Calif Dental Board and is a fellow of and accredited by the IAOMT in silver amalgam (mercury) removal.

About Hygienist: Sally, his hygienist, is excellent. So meticulous and thorough in cleaning teeth. She also measures gum depletion on each tooth, and gives you feedback on where your teeth need better cleaning and how much time to spend where in the mouth.. She spent time teaching my kids the best, most effective way to brush their teeth.
