Because of Sjogrens Syndrome, I have a very dry mouth, extremely so......which plays havoc on my teeth. Dr. Tamura understands the disease, and he and his hygienist are always looking for new products, to help me, with a difficult problem. I have really no complaints about him. He has never in all the years, left me hurting, and he is very good at what he does. He might put off people with his long explanations, but, at least you know what's happening, and the cost, from day one. I recommend him.

About Front Desk: Through the years.........always professional, knowlagable, and friendly.

He replaced a cracked veneer. He is purely a pushy saleman. He could not care about my pain, or matching the color of my veneer with the other teeth. He was only interested in gaining more expensive treatments. I explained that my current dentist of 20 years was on vacation and I was seeing him for an emergency, but he wanted me to dump my own dentist and spend my money with him. He was agressive, overbearing, rude, and it was an awful experience. I woud not recommend this dentist to anyone. Find someone else. DO NOT use this dentist.

I had no problems previous to going to this doctor. He did a preventative filling, which was the beginning of the expense. He didn't do it correctly resulting in cracked tooth, needing a crown, and it still didn't correct it. He then wanted to do braces and more work, but I left before that. I had to end up getting a root canal.

Dr. Tamura has a horrible bed-side manner. He was verbally aggressive and often physical with his assistant. I had a crown put on but did not have a root canal performed. He hit a nerve when administering the novocaine, which did not entirely numb the tooth area being worked on. Though I still have the cap, I was more traumatized by the manner in which he treated his assistant. I would not be shocked to find out that she had brough suit against him.

About Hygienist: I felt very, very sorry for her. I hope she found more fulfilling employment.

Good doctor. I wish he was a little more layed back. He appears to be rushed although he's not.

Dr. Tamura did porcelain veneers on my front teeth 5 years ago and they look as beautiful today as they did the day he put them in. I always get compliments on my teeth, and I thank Dr. Tamura for the great job he did. I feel better about myself, and my smile since doing this cosmetic dental treatment with Dr. Tamura. My self esteem is better because I always had ugly, crooked, stained teeth, and now they are beautiful. I would highly recomend Dr. Tamura to anyone who is thinking about getting cosmetic dentistry done for that beautiful smile you always wanted.

About Hygienist: Dr. Tamura's hygienist Shawna, was kind, caring and always gives me a great cleaning. My gums used to bleed and now they don't because Shawna has taught me I need to floss every day.

Dr. Tamura's office is very clean and he uses a lot of high tech gadgetry (e.g. DVD goggles for longer dental work, lasers for teeth cleaning). I had a crown placed for a molar and all my silver fillings replaced in addition to regular cleaning. The major thing I noticed was the excessive cleaning required. My insurance only covered 2 cleanings a year. They scheduled me for 4 a year. Also, I got the feeling he was out for money at times. I recommended a co-worker who mentioned that when he went in, Tamura recommended that he get all his silver fillings replaced with the natural colored fillings, and get a crown for his molar as well. It seems like he had a cookie cutter approach to new patients. The staff is real friendly. My wife also went to Tamura for a while. He recommended the same set of procedures for her as well (fillings, excessive cleanings even though she had 1+2's on her checkups). The major turn-off for Tamura is his attitude towards women. I have seen him yell at his assistant Janet at least a couple of times, once during the crown replacement. It was in a very unprofessional manner. The teeth that had its fillings re-done were really sensitive for a while. My co-worker and wife also shared these experiences.

Attractive office - stations are in a semi-open layout, with all chairs facing out a window. For long procedure, video "goggles" and a large selection of current movies are available. Dr Tamura explains everything thouroughly, and is a perfectionist in his work. Esther, the hygenist, makes cleanings as painless as possible.

Tamura's office is nice and clean, the hygenist is excellent. When meeting Tamura, he interviewed me, told me that everything was wrong with my mouth. Told me he would start fixing things right there. But ultimately, wanted my money. I have seen a number of doctors who have yet to mention the things that were wrong to Dr. Tamura.

The worst dentist I have ever had. The operation was very painful and as he began to run out of time, he got aggravated and swore at both the assistant and the patient. He rushed to another patient in the next room and left all the work for the assistant to complete. Unfortunately, the assistant was not experienced enough to conduct all the work. The temporary crown fell off the very next day and my tooth became infected afterwards. The crown he made was oversized and filled with excess cement to fill in the gap. I didn't realize this until I switched to another dentist. His office has all kinds of extravagant high-tech system and audio and visual system to entertain patients, however he lacks the basic level of quality in his work and is disrespectful of his patient. Since lots of overbooking, the receptionist often called for rescheduling the appointment.-sometime I was asked to be there within two hours! I Would Not Recommend this dentist at all.
