Very friendly staff, low stress, one-on-one treatment. Dentist is the hygienist as well, does it all, refers you to specialists when needed.

I went to Dr. Sundahl to get my teeth cleaned twice a year for many years until I moved. She was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Her office was bright, tasteful and clean, with an exceptionally nice receptionist, who'd remember me.
My appt. would start on time and last about a half hour. She'd first see if I had any concerns, then she'd inspect my teeth while her assistant would look over my records and call out any problem areas. She would also check my gums, tongue and mouth before cleaning/polishing my teeth.
She'd use metal dental picks to clean my teeth. Although she was gentle and fast, nothing inspired me to floss like the feel of those picks scraping at tartar. She never scolded.
Teeth cleanings cost around $100. First they would bill my insurance. If insurance didn't pay, then they would bill me. I'd pay by check (I don't think they took credit cards). No problems.
I never had fillings done. In the last several yrs I didn't have any xrays done (not Sundahl's fault). A year after I moved, I went to a dentist who xrayed my teeth and found a cavity betw. 2 molars (I'd been too busy to floss much for a long time). The cavity wasn't visible w/out xrays. He didn't discover any other problems with my teeth/gums.

I went to Dr. Sundahl for over 10 years. I thought she was good until I received a cleaning by another dentist and found that I have 4 cavities and at least 1 may require a root canal. If she had taken the time to investigate these growing cavities during any one of my 6 month check-ups, I would not have this problem. While she provided good service in the past, it seems like she has just been going through the motions for the past few years. Another complaint is the fact that she is habitually late to appointments.

Dr. Sundahl was my dentist for more than 10 years. I recently swtiched dentists because she was always late to appointments and rarely in the office. My new dentist quickly found a very bad and obvious cavity that Dr. Sundahl should have found. I now need a root canal.
I urged all my siblings to visit their local dentists. They all have multiple cavities that were neglected so long, they also need root canals.
I find Dr. Sundahl to be totally uninterested in the health of her patient's teeth and simply trying to get people in and out of her office so she can get back to her personal life.
If you care about your teeth, do NOT visit Dr. Lana Sundahl.

After being Dr. Sundahl's patient for more than 10 years, I finally switched dentists. I was fed up with her showing up late to almost every appointment we scheduled-- often more than 15 minutes late.
My new dentist immediately found a cavity that Sundahl should have seen and now I'm due for a root canal. I never felt she cared about the state of my teeth, rather just wanted to see me as quickly as possible so she could get back to her personal life.
I do not recommend Dr. Sundhal, although she has an excellent and friendly staff.

a great dentist who really takes care of my teeth and gums. I went to Dr. Sundahl after visiting more than one hack dentist on my then current plan. They wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars for root planing or something. I called her and she did whatever was needed for my teeth and gums for one-quarter the price.
