Roger is a great, perfectionist practitioner, and a walking encyclopedia of dental treatment knowledge. The office is comfortable and ultra-clean, not ostentatious, and the entire staff treats you like family and friends. Roger does not rush things, and takes the time to explain all, and I mean all, of the options and outcomes. He has taken care of fixing and/or updating dental "repairs" that are not quite perfect, at no extra charge, and sometimes before I even knew there was anything less than perfect.
He takes your dental health seriously, and you should too, if you want to be his patient, but there is never any "selling" of things you don't need. OVer the years, I have referred my most picky friends to hime, and everyone has come away with rave reviews for Roger and his team.
About Hygienist: Excellent hygienist for cleanings and the like. The office prefers more modern ultrasonic cleaning instruments over conventional scrapers and explorers whenever appropriate, which generally results in a more comfortable and thorough experience.

AMAZING DENTIST!!!! Finally found a great dentist after years of searching. He address tooth alignment for proper bite and eliminated rubbing. My teeth have never felt or looked so good. Also recommended Sonicare, I will never go back to a regular toothbrush. His Hygenist is also amazing. Well worth going out of plan to see Dr. Solow.
to bad I am moving to NYC and can't take him with me.

Dr. Solow saved my teeth. He's an A+ dentist--kind, informative, highly intelligent, dedicated, and honest. His wife, Linda keeps the office humming, with lots of calls to remind me of upcoming appointments (I need that...). What's most important: I am living proof that Dr. Solow's exceptional skills have literally saved my teeth.
I always took very careful care of my teeth and gums, visited dentists every six months (expensive ones in DC and Manhattan) but still suffered cavities, even cracked teeth. After several crowns I was at a loss. In the 90s I came home to Marin--and found Dr. Solow. He immediately took charge of the health of my mouth, giving me invaluable information and tooth-care regimes. He used a unique and extremely sensitive reshaping technique (he's one of the top dentists in this field), which allowed my teeth to bite more naturally, relieving undo pressure that he explained was causing all my mouth problems. Since then--a dozen years ago--I have had absolutely no cavities, no gum problems, nothing but glowing reports and a happy smile. Thank you, Dr. Solow.
A word on price: While paying a lot for a crummy dentist is robbery, paying for tooth care that means you have a beautiful smile is downright priceless.
About Hygienist: Cheryl has been my hygienist for years. A lovely woman (coincidentally she knows my aunt and uncle and cousins in Southern California), she always does a careful and thorough job. I have to apologize that I always seem to fall short of her flossing expectations, but heck, she's gotta have something to say! And still now cavities...

As a senior lady, I have been in a dental chair all my life for many procedures, so feel I can evaluate Roger Solow with all this experience. When it is time to "go to the Dentist", I never give it any thought re pain or problems.
Roger Solow is the VERY BEST Dentist you could EVER find. He is gentle, explains procedures thoroughly. Will only do work that is absolutely necessary.
Linda Solow, his wife and Secretary, is always courteous.
Margreta, his Dental Assistant is helpful.
Both very professional.
I would highly recommend Dr. Roger Solow to EVERYONE.

About Hygienist: Cheryl Deitz is thorough, and gentle. She has cleaned my teeth for many years. She works while she discusses things of interest.. VERY satisfied with her work.

Very good! One thing I like about him is that he likes to keep it real. I asked him if I needed orthotics (wanted his opinion even though he is a dentist) and he answered me very logically in explaining that although my teeth were not perfectly straight, they functioned quite well and function matters more than aesthetics. Most dentists I have told me I needed them and seemed eager to jump the gun... but Solow is good and likes to keep it real.
Excellent staff, and I literally am about to fall asleep while having my teeth cleaned... a very comfortable experience all in all.
About Hygienist: Hygienists are very good. As I said, they are pretty thorough as far as I can tell and make you feel comfortable.

Came to see Dr. Solow after my husband insisted I switch dentists. I've gotten wonderful care. Dr. Solow is extremely precise, caring and careful. The whole office is kind and they teach you how to care for and preserve your teeth and gums. Years of deep pockets have now disappeared completely. Often refer to Dr. Solow. Highly recommended.

Best dentist EVER. He & his staff are so kind & so professional. So caring- they try to make it a good experience. Also he is very trustworthy & conservative about treatment - will never talk you into work you don't need. He used to teach dental school & is up on all the latest techniques. Hygenists are also really, really nice. Cost for routine stuff like cleanings is a little more than average (still reasonable), but for major work it's about average. Also they don't take insurance, you have to file it yourself. But he's so much better than any dentist I've ever been to, it's well worth it - I'm happy to come all the way from San Francisco. I can't recommend him enough!!!

Dr. Solow"s is the only dental chair I have ever been able to feel entirely relaxed in. I am often surprised to find myself daydreamig as he is drilling a tooth. It is brcause he is so knowledgeable and gentle, and carefully explains what he is doing is or about to do as he goes along. He is concerned with aethetics as well as precision and always can find an option where there is a problerm. Best of all he is positive and forward looking. He has been my dentist for 12 years because I trust his judgment, his workmanship, and his warm personality. I feel forthunate to have found so fine a professional person and needless to say, I recommend him to everyone!
