Dr. Lori Doran creates an office culture that is friendly, happy and fun! Upon entering her office one immediately feels welcome and at ease. Her office environment is designed in a way to cheer the heart and soul of both adult and child. The walls are filled with her beautiful artwork, her giraffe lamp over a table of fun toys and books entertains children and her cozy sofa makes you feel like you walked into your friends living room. Lori is superb technically and has the wonderful ability to put aside professional arrogance and instead embrace her patients with care and empathy. Her office staff and technicians match the culture she creates...happy, expertly trained and genuine.
Lori's office is conveniently located on Middlefield Rd. in Palo Alto and has its own private parking so access to her office is never a problem. When our family gets our dental cleaning reminders in the mail my 9 year old daughter and 11 year old son feel like they received an invitation to a fun party. Going to the dentist with Lori is like visiting a dear friend who is happy to see you and not only cares about your health but has the professional expertise to help insure your good health. Each visit with Lori ends with a super fun goodie bag filled with fun, dental treats for adults and children alike and children are always treated to an extra present of their choice from a mini gift shop maintained by Lori.
Lori is a Palo Alto gem and we are so lucky to have her!!!

Couldn't ask for a better dentist very experienced, great advice, nice, gentle, and a very friendly dentist.. Does things well, quick, and painless.. What more could you want?

Couldn't be a better dentist. Friendly, open, competent. My family has been going to Lori for over 20 years (lost count of the time). We would not consider anyone else because she always does things well, and we look forward to seeing her and everyone in the office. What more could you want from a dentist?

I have seen Lori for 15 yrs, not only does she take care of my family now but she takes care of just about everyone I know, x boy friends, x husbands, friends, relatives. I trust her to take care of my dental needs.
I do not like Novocaine so she has been very good about doing fillings without using it. She is fabulous and I continue to recommend her to everyone who needs a dentist

...Dr. Lori is absolutely the best! She is a very conservative dentist and does not try to sell her patients any unnecessary dental work. Everyone in this office is exceedingly friendly...in fact, if I had one complaint, it might be that the office might be a touch too friendly for someone who is quite and reserved.

Dr. Doran and her staff are great. Really friendly and upbeat! I didn't go the dentist for two years because I was ashamed of my poor dental hygeine, but Dr. Doran makes it all okay. :) The walls of the rooms are covered (like 100%) with postcards from patients who travel and send them to her!! Makes me feel really safe to know that so many people care about her. She is very sensitive to my needs when I'm in the chair, and her hygenist is very gentle with me. She has early appointments (as early as 7:30am, before work). I believe she takes the regular Delta Dental plan, but not the Delta preferred plan. She was recommended to me by my co-worker, who is a small woman in her 70's, who has been going to her for ages as well. Great place all around.

Dr. Doran has been my dentist for over 10 yrs now. I was terrified of dentists in general and before coming to her, I had not been to a dentist in over 5 yrs. Her gentle touch, excellent care and wonderful customer service won me over, and everyone I ever referred to her felt the same way. Dr. Doran often goes above and beyond the call of duty to provide the best care and encouragement for her patients. Case and point, several years ago, I desperately needed braces, but because I had to get some teeth pulled, I was afraid to take the plunge. Dr. Doran not only recommended an excellent oral surgeon, but accompanied me to the appointment, held my hand through the process and saw that I got home safely. Today, my teeth are as perfect as I ever dreamed they could be thanks to Dr. Doran's dedication to providing quality dental work with a personal touch. I would highly recommend her to anyone (especially if you suffer any anxiety about going to the dentist).

Dr. Doran is a very pleasant (although very talkative while she's working on you) dentist - but please be aware that she does not have the most modern dental equipment available. I recently switched to another dentist because I wanted someone with more modern equipment and facilities - although I had just seen Dr. Doran six months before, my new dentist informed me that I needed a root canal and there were 3 previously undetected cavities. Her inability to diagnose my dental problems previously will result in significant dental bills and pain. Until she updates her equipment and diagnostic techniques, I just can't recommend her.
