My review is for treatment received ~2002; my review date is Mar 2013. My insurance was Smile Saver thru the State for entry-new employees at that time. I was treated twice (exam with cleaning and ~4 fillings) and would not recommend Dr. Nguyen for the following specific reasons: 1) No customer service. The first visit wait was long but the second visit wait was 1 hr and she did not care to apologize but treated me like "next", she barely spoke excpet to say "sit here", "hold", "done", things of that nature, 2) She allowed shavings of mercury fillings to fall in my mouth and didn't bother to clean/water them out; I could grind bits between my teeth she had filled and even swallowed a couple of piecies because I didn't feel like she wanted me to bother her, 3) the place and tools didn't look like they were clean and I doubt by the way she treated me that she cared about her patience's hygeine. Sorry for the bad review so late; I was young out of college at the time, and poor, and I thought we were supposed to trust our doctors and dentists, be nice, and do what they said because they knew best. I've since learned and believe in consumer/patience bill of rights and feel a duty to give this review. Maybe she has changed, maybe not.

About Front Desk: I don't recall one except that I remember my second scheduled visit I walked in and there was no one to greet me but I sat down because I could hear the dentist drilling away so I waited like a good patient for about 1 hour. After she finished with her patient, she came out and waived me in to sit down. She didn't smile, didn't explain, looked at my chart then gave me short directions to sit, lay back, open mouth. I felt bad about my treatment later and my teeth didn't feel right; she did a poor job of uneven filling the mercury and some bits fell out afterward in addition to the shavings that fell out during. About a year and half later, I upgraded insurance and had the fillings replaced with porcelain.
