From the time you walk in the door or just call, you feel very welcomed. They are very personable!! The ladies up front (Leesa & Amanda) know their job very well and your ins. The Hyg & Assist. are also very kind and gentle and are great with dental fears. I have some of the best care here. From basic fillings to crowns and Implants as well as my cleanings. Both Dr. Sackman & Dr. Whittle are excellent and take their time explaining the answers to your questions and other treatment you may need! Great!!!!!

Procedures: cleaning, fillings, Crowns. The office staff and the dentist are pleasant. I would say fairly expensive for uninsured people.

If you care about pain management and congenial front desk personnel, Dr. Sackman's office is NOT for you. One of the desk clerks (name starts with a "K") is reminiscent of Nurse Ratchet from "Cuckoo's Nest;" her forced smile and general contempt for the clients is transparent and unsettling. She contradicted herself on two occasions when speaking on the doctor's behalf. Sackman grossly under-manages pain, post root canal, and has an almost imperious manner about discussing post-operative pain management. This same desk clerk was quoted saying, "The doctor doesn't generally like to prescribe pain medication." So, unless you prefer modern office decor and curt/rude front desk personnel over adequate pain management and personable desk staff, maybe Dr. Sackman is a great choice. It would behoove him to not make his patients feel like he's doing them a big favor by prescribing a paltry amount/strength of pain relievers after invasive/extremely painful oral procedures. In fairness, Sackman does competent work, but his post-care policies/manner leave much room for improvement.

About Hygienist: Conversely, the hygienists were ALL terrific; they were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant as can be. Too bad they also don't work the front desk.

Was unhappy with some mistakes that were made with crown color and temporary crown and dentist and staff didn't act apologetic at all. Not very personable.

Always received the best of care, helpful in explaining any procedure. Elke may be the best dental assistant on the West Coast.

Painful but no more than other dentists that I had occassion to visit. Friendly staff & hygenists. Went the extra step to explain the options before me & the procedures associated with each option.

They have a beautiful office and nice front office staff and some nice assistants. One doesn't care and lets you drown in your own saliva. Dr. Sackman has too restrictive a policy on X-rays. ADA guidelines on the web say healthy teeth should be xrayed every 2-3 years. Sackman's office won't even clean my teeth without x-rays. They say his policy is 2 years or no treatment. They obviously don't care enough about individualized treatment to see me as a person. That is why I am on this site looking for a dentist with digital x-rays at least.
