A friend of mine recommended Dr. Hsu, and I could not have been happier. The front desk was professional and friendly. I never had problems with insurance. The cleanings were done by dental hygienists (which I prefer) who were diligent and thorough on cleanings.
Also, I had to get my first root canal done, and it was as painless as I expect one can be. Even the novacaine shots were administered with a lot of care and sensitivity.
I have since moved out of the area and am looking for another dentist as good as Dr. Hsu. If you are lucky enough to be close to San Mateo, then go see Dr. Hsu!

Dr. Hsu is a fantastic dentist. He has an easygoing, straightforward manner and is careful not to push unnecessary treatments. His approach involves extensive communication with his patients in order to help them determine the ideal treatment path for themselves.
The facilities are clean, cheerful, and open. Staff is friendly and helpful.
My wife has been a patient of his for over a decade, and I have been a patient of his for about half that time. I highly recommend him!

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Hsu for the past 7 or 8 years. I started bringing my son here when he was 4 yrs old. Dr. Hsu is very straightforward in treatment and has a friendly manner. He does well with my son even though he's not a pediatric dentist. He knows when to handle a procedure himself and when to refer it out (my son's cavity filling, my fix of a root canal).
One of the best things about this office (Hui Dental Group) is that they are open 7 days a week! I'm so spoiled with Saturday and Sunday appointments that I find it hard to go to other dentists during work hours.

Great place, long hours. Other dentists in the area kept recommending filling replacements that weren't necessary, Dr. Hsu was great and only mentioned the real trouble spots rather than trying to strip mine my whole mouth, and explained the consequences of declining treatment for the trouble spots. I went with them for some cosmetic treatments as well since they did not try to oversell their services. Highly recommended, facilities are clean and they are open limited hours on weekends for us cubicle slaves.

Great experience at Hui dental group with Dr. Hsu. I had a general cleaning and a subsequent crown done. They did not try to talk me into a bunch of unncessary work. I already knew I needed the crown. The facility is very nice and the staff is friendly. Their prices are reasonable for what you get. Dr. Hsu answered all my questions and did an excellent job. I would definitely go back there.
