I decided to come here against my better judgment... because I have medi-cal I wanted to go to a place for an exam that was close to my home and without having to wait for an available appt else where. Handog had available appts and I needed to be seen due to all the pain I was having. Needless to say I needed some work..... She diagnosed me before doing xrays for one . And due to what she was saying needed to be done I started to cry. Thinking of the money I would have to pay out of pocket and my appearance I started to cry... No one said anything or bothered to give me a tissue or anything. The whole time I was having my xray done I was just weeping. They were cold and dismissive. At the end of it all thinking of my entire experience there I wanted to get my xrays and go else where. And this rude dumb lady did not want to give them to me. I don't understand why..... Her receptionist couldn't even understand why for it made absolutely no sense. This woman was never ever going to see me again. Going against my better judgment when I had looked her up on the internet they're were no reviews and now I really know why. Dr. Handog is not good at all. She has no compassion and is rude. Her receptionist was the only caring person there

My family (2 adults, 2 kids) have used Dr. Handog for many years. She has a clean, well-run office. Prices are very reasonable and she works with most insurance programs. Everyone in the office is always friendly, warm and efficient. Dr. Handog and her assistant do all the work of cleaning teeth, X-rays, filling cavities, extractions, and all the usual procedures that general dentists do. Dr. Handog was fine with my child when she was little too, but I used a pediatric dentist for some extractions, just because the equipment and furniture is not child-sized in Dr. Handog's office. For procedures that have required a specialist, such as an oral surgeon, they provide excellent referrals. The office is small enough that I feel very at home there. I highly recommend her and hope she doesn't retire early!
About Hygienist: Dr. Handog does much of the cleaning herself, which is great, because then she really knows what's going on with sensitivities, trouble spots, etc. Her assistant also does cleanings and is excellent, having worked alongside her boss for many many years.
