saw this add & made a appointment. I was asked if I was a new patient-replied Yes.@ doctors office i mentioned the $119.00 special & lady @ front desk laughed out loud. I got my teeth partialy cleaned-lady said it would take another session to complete.they x-rayed & Doctor examed.On check out I was told it was 305.00 for this visit! I asked about the 'special" & they replied what special-show us.@ website they denied knowing about the special & stated that since the 119.00 was in a box it pertained to the san jose office.Noted the 119.00 is in the address box for san jose BUT also out of the box-on top too .I asked how much to complete the cleaning & they replied 105.00. So 255 to clean teeth 119 for x-rays & the Doctor Did deduct 10.00 off his 60.00 exam fee -because i was a new patient-I feel they are Very deceptive in there practice & handled my complaint poorly.Reminder call for next appointment came @ 6:50p.m on a friday night.

I've been going to Dr. Michael Wakasa for over 14 years (since 1996!) and have had nothing but the best experiences. Dr. Wakasa has performed simple and complex procedures on me in a very personable and professional manner. Although I haven't reached HIM personally on my two after hours emergencies, somebody is always on call and available through his office. On my one "during hours" emergency, he agreed to stay in the office (past when he was scheduled to leave that day) to squeeze me in that very same day. Although I have been disappointed with the results of some of the work he has done for me, he always stands behind his work and is more than willing to redo or reconsider anything I am not satisfied with, without double charging. This guy is pretty good.
About Hygienist: Sometimes a bit chatty (especially when my mouth is full of tools), but otherwise meets your expectation.

Dr. Wakasa is so personable and gentle with children and adults alike. He makes you feel comfortable right away. His expertise is top-notch and I have always had good results with any other specialist he has recommended. He always explains his reasoning for any type of dental work and allows you to make a choice.
We have called him late in the evening for a dental emergency with our son and he agreed to meet us at his office right away.
His staff is friendly and professional, and on those few occasions where I forgot an appointment (even though they reminded me) they were kind enough not to charge me. I would not abuse this policy, but it was very generous of them.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Wakasa.
About Hygienist: The hygienists in this office are all very professional and do good work. We have not had anyone who was too rough or unpleasant.

Dr. Wakasa is such a nice dentist and does a great job. Very accomodating as well!
About Hygienist: You get a mix of people, some good, some not, but it's all very personal to like your hygienist. I do have someone there that I really like, and they make sure I can see that person every visit.

I started going to Dr. Wakaska senior and he was most excellente, now his son has taken over and he is just as good. You won't be disappointed...

Let me put it this way.. I HATE going to the dentist...Absolutely hate it... but ever since my friend told me to check out Dr. Michael Wakasa I am not so scared or anxious. He is great, and I love all of his hygenists. If you have a phobia of the dentist then try Dr. Wakasa he'll make that phobia a little less traumatic.

Best dentist I've ever seen. Friendly, gentle, and has a philosophy of prevention of problems instead of doing unnecesary procedures.

Dr. Michael Wakasa's father, Mitch was my very first dentist from day one--okay, maybe since I was a few years old. His son, Michael took over his practice after he retired. I've been going to Dr. Michael Wakasa for many years now and is kind, gentle, knowledgeable, and THE best dentist. He also did my implant and did a great job. He's conscientious and I never have any pain with any procedures. I hope he doesn't retire on me! I would highly recommend him.
And I love my hygenist too. I've never experienced any billing problems either.

Dr. Wakasa is the best! I had some nightmare experiences with dentists in the area. When did they become used car salesman? A friend recommended Dr. W. and I'm so glad she did. Professional, communicative, understanding, quality care, great customer service, I could go on and on. If you need a new dentist.... she Dr. Wakasa!
