Dr. Fong is a kind, caring dentist , who takes a strong interest in her patients. Her hygienists and office staff are friendly and customer-service oriented. She accepts most insurance plans and will work with your insurance company whenever there is a problem with billing or when a procedure is not covered. She is good at relieving stress and calming even the most nervous patients. She and her husband took over the office several years ago when my original dentist retired, and they were a great team. But her husband subsequently started another office in the east bay, and now she is running the San Rafael office on her own. I have confidence in her abilities, but when I had to get a tooth implant, her husband did all the work (creating the implant). So, I do have some concerns that she is not as experienced as her husband. However, she has been running the office for awhile now, and she seems to be handling it well. My Mom, cousin and brothers all see her and they all like her, and have never complained. I recently brought my 3 month old son in with me, and they were very accomodating and let him sit on my lap during my cleaning, so he wouldn't fuss. The doctor even bought him a little teddy bear! That's service!
