So, basically, me and my wife hadn't had our teeth cleaned in over a year. We had dental insurance, but it ran out when I got laid off. We needed to have an annual checkup, but not a bunch of x-rays that we couldn't afford. This guy was great. Thanks.

This doctor did not give us the option of going 3 blocks to the pharmacy for a prescription than charged us $400.00 for 2 pills!!!!

Entering the office after years of not having a dental visit , worried that they would tell me I was going to loose a couple of teeth. I was put at ease as soon as I walked in the door. I found the office very friendly and inviting. The front desk staff was the best I have ever been to. I found Dr Varin to be extreamly well informed. He not only fixed my many problems, he also helped me understand why I was having them. So many dentist in the past have treated my symptoms with out telling me what I was doing to cause the problems I was having. If you are looking for a dentist you can trust, this would be a good place to go.

I had a dental emergency over the weekend and called Dr. Varin. He told me to "take some Alive" and call the office Monday, and they would "work me in." What he failed to mention is that the office was closed on Monday, and he wouldn't be available. In the meantime, the "pain" turned into an infection. When I called on Monday, I was told to come in on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., and I protested. Later, the dental assistant gave me a Junior High School lecture about how the issue was not between the office and me, but between Dr. Varin and me (it's a business, dear!) I would not go to this denist... in my opinion his office staff has an attitude and he is unprofessional.

Check Marin County Small Claims records for a successful lawsuit and judgment against Dr. Varin for improper sterilization of a dental tool during examination. Patient did not return for treatment.
