dr Kim did an outstanding job on my veneers, I have had them over 10 years. he did a great job delivering them as well as advising me on maintains them. they were expensive because of the quality I preferred. could have gotten cheaper ones, but didn't want george Washington looking teeth. I have also had filling. cleanings and a root canal done by him. the pain was very minimal and my insurance covered my procedures (not the veneers).several of my family members are treated by dr Kim as well. he is very through, explicit and kind. the children are very comfortable with him. he is the first dentist I truly trust, and I have been to several. I never have problem getting appointments, no long wait time and courtesy staff. I would and have recommended others to dr Kim and I drive over 30 miles to see him!

I've just started seeing Dr. Kim and I've had one cleaning and about 6 fillings. I'm not sure about his exact charges as I'm covered by my insurance, but I have a feeling my 6 fillings may have been a little excessive. In addition, I had some pain after one of my fillings, where I didn't have pain before. He re-filled it, and it's been better since. He's very nice when I go see him, a little scattered, but very nice.

Dr. Kim is technically an excellent dentist and cares greatly about the outcome of his work. He does not cut corners and is a perfectionist. His treatment was completely successful. He makes sure that a patient feels no pain, and does not skimp on any pain meds. He is very well mannered while working on your teeth and you feel in good hands. However, Dr. Kim has quite an abrasive personality. He aggressively sells medically unneccessary cosmetic dentistry by telling you, basically, that your teeth are ugly. It never stops. One has to be extremely firm in turning down his sales pitch. He does not seem to be able to retain office help. He has a very heavy accent, so one has to work to understand him, although he puts things in writing and is sure that you do understand him. He is actually obstructive in dealing with insurers. We got our claim submitted and paid, but it was murder getting him to do it. He is very honest, but his attitude makes it seem the opposite. Dr. Kim needs to realize that an insurance biller would earn his/her salary many times over. In spite of his considerable ability, we dropped him because of the emotional stress. One quirk is that he, a dentist, has bowls of hard candy for all to eat!!

he recommended fillings on 6 of my teeth and proceeded to give me more fillings than he had initially informed me of. When one of those fillings cracked, he claimed it wasn't one of his. When I asked for a detailed list and xrays after the fact, it turned out he was lying. Intense throbbing pain started to present itself immediately after each quadrant was worked on. His response was lackadaisic at best, permanently damaging at worst. He insisted I wait and see if the pain subsided for months after the fact, when I went to see 2 other dentists and came back with their opinion, he became extremely indignant that I did not "trust" him. To this day I am unable to chew anything harder than a banana without tenderness and pain in my nerves. I have filed a complaint with my dental insurance. I almost rarely saw patients in the waiting room, which should have been my first hint.
