I made many fillings at Dr. Alison's in 2005. It hasn't been long enough to really judge about the quality, but the first impression was nice. She makes miniature holes, trying to keep as much of the original tooth as possible, and not many dentists do that; also, she's very gentle and I never feel any pain. She has state-of-the-art equipment. I definitely like this approach. Dr. Alison's prices are high, so the insurance can't pay a lot. She's good, she's at the premium location, which means a lot of rich patients and very high rent. Hence, very high prices. I paid $200-$300 out-of-pocket per filling, and I have a great insurance policy. As one side effect, she's overworked sometimes. The first time around I was late (10-15 minutes I guess), and she was very irritated. I had to come another day. She didn't charge me for being late, though she said she does that ($90 per 15 min, if I'm not mistaking). Do not be late for her appointments.

wow--really does make going to the dentist like going to a spa. the office and facilities are modern, very zen and very calming. she's an impeccable dentist, is really nice and easy going, and explains everything too (in case youre curious about what's going on). cant say enough good things about her/the office/the procedures; even the office staff are friendly and helpful. there's no awkward or forced chattiness; you really feel at ease with them. the only drawback is the cost--very expensive! i may be forced to see a diff. dentist with my new insurance plan now, but if i had the money at some point in the future i will totally be back. however--if money is not an issue, she's definitely the best there is. and yes, the money is well spent! (too bad im just a bit poor right now...)

Alison is from Texas and you can tell by her mannerisms. She is so full of energy that it can actually be tiring to keep up with her emotionally. No dentist I have ever gone to has looked more closely to every little thing going on in my mouth with every modern tool at her disposal. You will never see a dentist who will care more about your dental health than Alison. The office is a little sparse yet has a quiet zen quality. If you don't like the music she plays I suggest you bring your iPod because her tastes can be ecclectic. She is very pricey and will run over most insurance R&C rates, but if you really care about getting first class treatment and want a high-engergy dentist that will probably care more about helping you keep your teeth even more than you do... Alison is your dentist.

Great dentist! Best I have ever been too. I concur with the previous rating and only wish she were a little cheaper and more accomodting with insurance and payment plans. You do get what you pay for in dentistry and she is worth it!

Doctor Alison is amazing. She's funny, personable and extremely conservative in her treatments. Her office is very architectual and zen-like which is quite a contradiction to her personality. She is a hyper, talkative little blond woman from Texas. She has state of the art equipent (really, the best in the country) and has her gorgeous assistant, Mona, massage your tempels while she administers the novacaine. She has thousands of songs MP3ed and will play whatever music you like. She'll even create a folder for you so that you can hear that same music each time you come back. The ONLY downfall is the price. She is very expensive and you do have to pay up front. Although, I have know her to barder if you happen to have a cool job with good perks like free tickets to the symphony. Lastely, she is incredibly thorough so, if you go to her, you may have to hear some bad news about your teeth that you'd rather ignor. She is like a good mechanic and really wants whats best for her patients so, in the long run, it's better that she catch these things now rather than when you're in massive amounts of pain or at risk of losing a tooth. Overall, I would highly recommend her as long as you can afford her.
