HORRIBLE dentist group. I wish I would have read all of the negative reviews before I ever set up an appointment. It looks like they all had the same problem as myself. I was told I needed 4 fillings (the most I have ever needed, should have been a red flag). I went ahead and trusted their opinion (my first mistake) and got them done. A couple of months later and now I was told I need a root canal because one of the fillings didn't work. I was quoted $1100 and was shocked. I'm in my twenties, and have never even thought about needing a root canal. I called another respected dentist for a second opinion and was quoted $220. You can imagine the frustration and anger to know that I was being charged 5 times that with Presidential. I am getting a second opinion on the fillings that were done as well if I even need the root canal. I will never go back and would never recommend this place. I am beyond angered that I have spent so much money with them to know that I may have not ever even needed the services. (which seems to be a trend, they should read their terrible reviews). I will be posting again once I get the second opinion which I'm sure will tell me what I already know.

As an uninsured patient, I went to Dr. Hancock after receiving a card in the mail offering a cleaning and xrays for $99. I went in, had a deep cleaning, xrays and was told everything looked okay (by the hygienist). Then Dr. Hancock came in, put a little probe with a blue light into my mouth, and proceeded to name off 13 teeth that needed "work". After hat, she gave me an itemized list that recommended 13 fillings for microcavities, Invisalign, and a mouthguard totaling $12,000. She advised that she could start this work immediately or that I could return in a few days to get started. I left, distraught that I needed so much work. However, I wised up and obtained my xrays (to the consternation of the staff) and showed them to another dentist, who told me I had ZERO cavities. These "microcavities" aren't real cavities and just require monitoring with regular cleaning or, at worst, sealants. It is my opinion that Dr. Hancock was taking advantage of me as an uninsured patient, because insurance DOES NOT COVER microcavity "fillings". I am lucky I did not fall victim to this racket she has going and was only out a hundred bucks for a cleaning. STAY AWAY from PDG!!

I had 4 fillings done and I asked the price prior to getting the work done but the staff didn't give me the info until moments before the service and underquoted by like $500! Not only did the dentist bills change each time that I received one, but the dental office kept screwing up the paperwork with my insurance carrier. The office is well kept but the staff doesn't seem like they want to be bothered with you. It seems like she is more interested in padding her pockets than she is about giving great customer service. To add, a filling came out a month after the service and I had to go back!

About Front Desk: The staff didn't smile and seemed disconnected.

About Hygienist: The dental hygienist was okay. She kept leaving to check on my insurance...like I said...they are more concerned with payments than taking care of people.

I saw Dr. Hancock in 2009 when she was at United Dental Group in Washington, DC. I went in for a routine checkup and was told that I needed a filling. After Dr. Hancock completed the filling I was left with a large gap between my teeth. Beyond the gap causing gum infection, the filling was done so deep that the tooth became very infected. The resulting problems from what should have been a simple filling have cost me thousands and ended up in the tooth being extracted—I DO NOT recommend Dr. Hancock’s dental work at all!

Dr. Hancock did beautiful veneers on my front top teeth. I actually have gotten compliments on my teeth since then - which I never had before!

I had a bunch of cavities filled and a crown done. One cavity was filled incompletely (according to my current dentist and visible on the xray) which meant that I had to get it redone. Communication/listening was poor; one example is that once the dentist started to give me a cosmetic procedure I most definitely refused when she first broached the subject with me! I wish I had more positive things to say but I don't.

Dr. Hancock is amazing! I never had a root canal before but I had always heard horror stories. I found out I needed a root canal and crown but Dr. Hancock made the process really easy and convenient . Not once did I experience any pain and she was so attentive and thought of my needs as a patient. I have some pretty seriousTMJ and my jaw locked a few times during my procedures, but Dr. Hancock never panicked. I have never trusted someone more in my entire life. She was professional and confident and was able reset my jaw without any problem. Before Dr. Hancock, I hated going to the dentist, but now its so much easier knowing I have a wonderful dentist taking care of me. Thank you Dr. Hancock!

About Hygienist: All the hygienists there are really friendly and willing to go above and beyond in providing great customer service! It feels like I'm visiting old friends when I go.

I've been a patient of Dr. Hancocks' for about four years now. She is one of the nicest, most professional and comforting doctors I've ever had. Dr. Hancock talks to me like a friend, but is extremely professional, and thoroughly explains every process and procedure to me in detail no matter how major or minor it is. I know that many people go to the dentist expecting to endure pain and they are fearful of that, but Dr. Hancock takes her time and talks to me through every procedure. She even has a special pain-free way of giving a needle! I have only felt a little bit of pressure, but never the sharp "stick" of the needle! For years, I considered getting veneers to perfect my smile. Because of the quality of work that Dr. Hancock has done for me in the past, I knew that she would be the right choice. As it turned out, I had the veneers done (front- upper and lower), and I'm extremely happy with them. I feel like I have a real Hollywood smile now! With a state of the art office and cutting edge technique, I would highly recommend Dr Hancock to everyone!

Dr. Hancock has a very gentle approach that puts me at a level of extreme comfort. I had an extraction and a whitening procedure. The extraction was a lot less painfull than I'd expected and the whitening was the most thorough procedure I'd experienced; she rejuvenated my confidence to open my smile completely. She's a keeper! The facility is totally clean and highly comfortable. I love the staff: from Renee the receptionist to Bilet the Dr's assistant, they're great. Dr. Hancock is a very affable person whom I recommend to anyone who wants the feeling of genuine care from your dentist. -S.Gates
