Rude attitude once they get your money. And they'll give you the run-around. First, after the procedure, this "white, pasty stuff" keep coming out of my gums. I saw Sams for this; he said it was "nothing". This went on for a couple of months until a big chunk of the stuff just came out of my gum, about the size of a large BB pellet, then the hole healed. Prior to having the tooth worked on by Dr. Sams, during the lead-up to the actual procedure I was pressured to get a "Snap-On-Smile" made for use during the duration my front tooth would be missing, to the tune of $750.00. Insurance doesn't pay for this, I had to pay out-of-pocket. Once the entire procedure was "done", they took the "Snap-On-Smile" from me. I said I would keep it; I was told it is "office policy" that they hold them there. I asked why; she had no answer other than "policy". Fast forward a couple of years and I move away from Wichita. I called and asked for my property to be returned to me. I got a call back from "Shelby" who started with, "I haven't been here very long so I don't know..", then went on to tell me they had "disposed" of my property. I asked why I WAS NOT CONTACTED FIRST? She began a song and dance, to which I said, "Three things are going to happen. You will return my property as asked, if not you will send me a check for the replacement costs, or you will give me the name of your attorney for mine to contact". She said I would hear from them by the end of the day. That did not happen. I called this morning to speak with "Shelby". I was told she was busy with a patient. I said I expected a phone call by the end of the day, yesterday. The person answering the phone became very rude and said, "We found your Snap-On-Smile, and it, along with your X-rays will be sent to certified mail" then HUNG UP ON ME. At no time was I rude, raise my voice, or anything else, other than to ask for my property returned to me. So I can pay them thousands of dollars, only to be rude to. BTW, the "post" that was inserted was done unevenly so it has pushed sideways on the tooth next to it, causing the bottom edge of the tooth to chip off. I saw another doctor for this and they said "The other post is set, the only thing we can do now is remove the other, HEALTHY front tooth and repeat the same procedure you've already had done. ON A HEALTHY TOOTH! Should you go to this office? Sure, if you want to be spoken down to, hit with very high prices for the work, pressured into buying expensive appliances, that they will then later tell you they "disposed of" then, when threatened with getting an attorney involved, miraculously "find" your property. I' ve had two procedures (extractions & implants)with Dr. Sams. Each procedure was painless and comfortable. The staff was courteous and professional in every way. An exceptional dental experience! I high recommend Dr. Sams to everyone.

Very dissapointed with the office! They tell you your procedure will be covered by your insurance...The insurance did not cover the procedure at all. They had my card, but they never called the insurance company to confirm what they were saying to me. What a dissapointment.

I’ve had a number of implants placed by Dr. Sams, so I’ve spent some time in his office. Although dental work may not be your “favorite” thing to do, Dr. Sams makes this process as comfortable and pain-free as possible. I didn’t even take the pain meds afterwards. I love having my smile back. He is awesome and has a great staff.

Staff is very friendly and well trained. My procedure was well explained and pain free. The office is nice and clean and everyone was very helpful. I would recommend this office to all my friends or family that need a Periodontist.

About Hygienist: Both Brenda and Christine have done an excellent job with cleanings for me. Very thorough, gave me good feedback and very friendly.

Dr. Sams has been my Periodontist for 3 1/2 years. My experience at his office has always been a pleasant one. Everyone at their office always welcomes me with a smile and is extremely nice. (they always have fresh coffee which is a plus!) I have some dental anxiety, but I always feel comfortable and safe at his office. He is extremely gentle and makes me feel comfortable. The procedure that I had done was stress free due to him and his team's ability to make me feel at ease. The recovery process was smooth & a lot quicker than I had anticipated. If you need to have any periodontal procedures done I highly recommend going to see Dr. Sams & his team!

About Front Desk: The front desk staff has always been polite and extremely helpful with any questions I might have. They always greet me with a smile and work with me to schedule my next appointments (which can be tricky with my work schedule). They are a huge help!

About Hygienist: I have been having my teeth cleaned at Dr. Sams office. I see Christy his hygienist who has been with their office for over 15 years. I remember her telling me about her 15 year anniversary. Christy is so gentle and always does a thorough job. I always love our conversations and I actually look forward to visiting with her. She has given me the best cleanings I have ever had.

My family and I are patients of Dr. Sams and his team. We have all found Dr. Sams to be the kind, considerate, highly qualified and experienced in all phases of periodontics, oral medicine, dental implant placement and implant restoration. He is particularly skilled in the area of periodontal plastic-reconstructive surgery. Most important, personally I have been very comfortable with minimal inconvenience during all of my treatment with Dr. Sams. I would recommend Dr. Sams highly and without reservation.

About Front Desk: Dr. Sams' front office and business office team are extrememly helpful and just as in the clinical area they take a sincere interest in me personally. Insurance issues are handled very expeditiously and courteously.

The surgery that Dr. Sams performed on the red, swollen, gum tissue above my two front teeth was just an experiment to see if it would work. Unfortunately, I was never told that. Instead, I was led to believe that surgery would indeed correct the problem, and that is why I agreed to the surgery. However, when stitches were taken out, my smile revealed the same red, swollen, bleeding gums as before. When I asked very nicely if they would please adjust the cost to reflect the outcome of the surgery, they took $100 off of $1100. Very unsatisfied. I would not recommend.
