Dr. Berger got me in with a new patient special, $45 for cleaning, X-rays and exam. He and his assistant were very forceful at recommending unnecessary tests and procedures. Dr Berger bristled when I questioned some of his recommendations, and his refusal to offer gold crowns. It seemed to be his way one the highway, so I gladly chose the highway. The next dentist had a more thoughtful evaluation of a tooth with a problem that could be interpreted several different ways, and referred me to a specialist, whereas dr Berger was certain of what he would do, irrespective of what it might actually be. Having already been down a similar path with a misdiagnosis and mistreatment of another tooth, with a former dentist in another region, I am far more apt to question.
About Hygienist: Great hygienist -- skilled , gentle, and honest at answering my questions (contradicting the sales pitch of the assistant). If it weren't for the dentist, I would go back for the hygienist.
