Dr. Vanderbilt is very thorough and has a gentle approach to all my dental needs. I moved from the area and found another DDS closer to my home, but over time, I decided the distance didn't matter and returned to Dr. Vanderbilt. He has performed 'regular' dental services as well as a root canal (or two!) for me and is not shy about letting me know if a treatment is beyond his scope, as was the case with one of the root canals (long story about my funky root anatomy). He could have easily taken on the task himself and not told me I would be better off with a specialist, but he didn't. Kudos to him for his honesty and integrity. I will be his patient until he retires, which hopefully isn't for many years. Also, his staff has been with him for a very long time - no turn-over that I can remember! Another tribute to his genuine character as a human being and as a professional.
