I have had several different procedures and have been extremely happy with everything. I recently had some old bonding on a front tooth break. Dr. Markowitz saw me quickly and, in about 15 min., did a repair that looked nicer than the original from another dentist. He is extremely gentle, explains everything thoroughly, and does exceptional work. Dr. Markowitz also has an artistic eye which ensures that if you are having cosmetic work done that your smile will be beautiful with teeth that are shaped to fit perfectly. I will definitely continue going to Dr. Markowitz for all my cosmetic work as well as all the routine care.
About Hygienist: The hygienist was very gentle and careful and did a wonderful job. I was very impressed with her warm and caring attitude and it really made such a difference in the procedures. Everything is extremely clean and everyone is thorough and precise in what they are doing. In addition, the office staff is simply wonderful in dealing with questions and concerns and they really go out of their way to accommodate any requests.

Dr. Markowitz has fixed a number of serious dental problems I've had for years, and has maintained my teeth in good condition over the last 6 years. My mouth has never been in such a great condition before! Besides being a highly qualified professional, he is also extremely attentive and sympathetic to patients with low pain treshhold like myself. I've never felt pain or axiety during my treatments. I highly recommend Dr. Markowitz to anyone who needs a highly qualified and attentive dentist.
About Hygienist: The hygenist at Dr. Markowitz's office, Melissa, does a great job. She is extremely thorough, gentle, and has a great personality. Always a good experience and results!

Dr. Markowitz does high quality work, using traditional methods. He uses methods such as gold indirect fillings where other dentists use either direct fillings or indirect porcelain fillings. This may not be esthetically the best option, but it certainly does last where other fillings have failed.
Dr Markowitz does do very good work, but it would be nice if he would take more time to listen to patient concerns, rather than just proceeding the way he wants to. There is a fair amount of pressure to take his advice, regardless of the esthetic concerns of something like a gold filling.
Overall, he is a good dentist, expensive, but traditional, and does high quality work with much pride.

My husband and I began as patients with this practice in the early 90's but left a few years later after a noticeable decline in the quality of both diagnosis and treatment. Restorations that regularly fell off and had to be redone, new caps that subsequently damaged formerly healthy opposing teeth because of their terrible fit, and finally the disastrous neglect and lack of diagnosis that lead to losing two molars and having to actually have the jaw restored because of the long neglect of a pretty obvious problem (that had been ignored over the course of a year and three office visits) -- all these factors made changing to a new dentist the obvious course of action. (And I have doubly appreciated the competent care and excellent practice of my new doctor.) Conclusion: You can do a lot better than this dentist somewhere else.
