I'm Andrew I. You know me Doc- and you know you are a complete butcher.
It's hard to write this review but I don't know what else to do but warn others to say away. He seemed like a good dentist, despite the moldy, formerly flooded basement in th Georgetown apartment building he operated in. When it initally with the worse pain I've ever had (I had since got hit by bus breaking many bones- was heaven compared to this toothache), no regard whatsover for my pain, but whatever I deserved it I guess.
Yanked the bad teeth out, never replaced them. Filled some cavities over the years, that was okay I guess.
Orthodontics- STAY AWAY. My teeth 5 years later are almost as bad as they were when I first when in. BAD. A dentist friend of mine said the braces he used were completely obsolete, worse yet, the cheap retainers or whatever he gave me later broke and no replacement was given. So know I need to start all over.
I'm not a rich guy. I gave Dr. Prosper everything he asked for. Still, after confirming that my balance was paid I was hounded by his bill collector for MONTHS. She was incompetent as well.
Personality- friendly at first, then years of condescending hoo-haw, and then a straight up d-bag. Total jerk really.
About Front Desk: A couple of cute girls worked there for a few months. Usually he has no employees and it shows. Shows up late for appointments or doesn't show up sometimes. Many times I've had to wait out in that moldy hallway. No big deal really, just sayng that it might happen. Once I missed too, he didn't charge.

About Hygienist: Hygienist- LOL! He generally works alone, on two visits he had an assistant, but he couldn't seem to find good help.

Dr. Prosper is an incredibly dedicated caring, and talented dentist; offering treatment of extraordinary high quality. none of my many prior dentist have ever spent so much time on ME. He ensures that each treatment,and dental device fit is picture perfect; and second is the superior quality of the results of Dr.Prosper's treatment. Dr. Prosper recently rebuilt my entire upper mouth with bridges and veneers. The results ... dazzling! Irecommend Dr. Prosper without reservation. Dr. Ronald A. Babula

Dr. Prosper is a great dentist. His concern for the patient's well being goes without saying. I consider him a cutting edge dentist who is always providing the best of care.

Dr. Prosper is a great guy, but his practice is simply outdated and the facilities are old. I believe in absolute professionalism - he is a serious professional - including extraordinary and ordinary hygienic precautions, such as gloves, which were not used during my cleaning.

I am righting in regards to Truit R. Prosper, Dentist, Wisconsin Avenue,Washington D.C. I was seen by Dr. Truit Prosper on 2 occasions. On May 8, 2006 and May 22, 2006. The first meeting when I arrived I was experiencing pain and needed a root canal. Mr. Prosper x-rayed my mouth performed something that made the pain more tolerable and then examined all of my teeth for further work. By the second visit I was again in pain and he started to perform the root canal. He gave me some novacine but didnt give me enough, because I informed him that I could feel everything he was doing inside of my mouth I was in pain while he was doing the procedures, he was trying to tell me that I wasnt in pain that I couldnt feel in working in my mouth. He became annoyed because I was jumpy in the chair but the pain was unbearable. I told him again I could feel him drilling in my mouth! He did not respond to my cry of pain! Instead he fussed at me and complained that I was moving. This man made taking an x-ray painful and I have had those before enough to know you arent suppose to be painful! Of course he blamed me for that too!! He was very rude and unprofessional. Then he charged me $1600 for an uncompleted root canal!
