He explained the treatments well but that was it. He filled my cavities with a bright white filling so my teeth are different colors, the money I paid weekly went to him buying the dental supplies and renting a chair in another dentist's office. I missed 1 appointment and he left me a message saying I owe him an apology and to call to reschedule " if you have the balls to." I have a $300 credit left with him and I told him to keep it, I'm going back to my original dentist with a hygienist instead of me having to suction my own saliva myself. Worst dentist EVER!

About Front Desk: Rumor has it that office is selling prescriptions to anyone who has money, no dental work needed. Cannot verify because I didn't see it myself but an employee there told me that.

Front desk:

Hygiene rating:

About Hygienist: He doesn't have one. You have to suction your own saliva out yourself.

My Experience: Extraction

I had extreme pain from a cavity that needed a root canal. He got me in the office in a very short time. I was pain free by the time I have left the office. He really does care about his patients!

I had a bonded filling on a front tooth - total cost with xrays was $ 451. - and I was not told by the front desk person when I gave them my insurance card - that they were not on Metlife Provider list, so I found out after the work was done. Got to his office at twenty to three, left at 6:15 - no one else there - no a/c, just a fan. Spent too much time talking about other stuff. I would not recommend him to anyone, and now I know why no one else was in the office during the thrree hours I was there. I have had teeth bonded before in my family, and it never cost over $ 150. I cancelled my followup appt. because he does not use Metlife.

Office is very dirty. Does not have an assistant or a hygienist. Old equipment and unclean, run from this place.

I don't think that I could recommend Dr. Segler. Three reasons. First, he wants to do too much. It seems that he wants to fix teeth even only for cosmetic purposes. I had a couple of teeth with some minor abrasions that another dentist in his own office said there was no medical/dental reason to do anything with. Then when I saw Dr. Segler at a later date he starts grinding them down and putting in fillings. I never asked for this, and he never asked me. Second, he would charge my credit card for the full procedure amount and then reimburse me after the insuance paid him. Isn't that backwards to what other dentists do? Not only that, but he would sometimes charge me the full amount, bill the insurance, and even after the insurance paid him still not reimburse me but instead let my account go into credit. In effect, he's holding my money for next time. That's ridiculous. Third, his office equipment seems to be too old and behind the times. I guess he doesn't want to spend money on upgrades?

If you are scared of the Dentist, Dr. Segler does a wonderful job comforting you. He has a great manner that calms you down-well-as calm as you can be at a Dentist's office! I had a lot of work done and although it was painful (most dental work is) the entire office did their best to make me feel at ease. He also worked with me on payments and provided good prices when my insurance money ran out. He has also been a dentist for over twenty years so he has a lot of experience. If you need night and weekend appointments, I beleive those are available as well. If you live in the Delray/Boca Raton, or Boynton Beach area Dr. Segler would be a great choice for you. He has wonderful receptionists who call to check on you to see how you are feeling after a procedure, I have even had Dr. Segler call me a few times to see how I was feeling. His dental assistants also do quality work, and very nice and comforting and have been working there for a long time. Their service is very personalized and cheerful, which eases any anxiety you might be having about visiting a dentist. For your cleanings they will send a cute little card to remind you when your time has come. That always helps me out since forget.
