I never ever write reviews online but for this guy i am taking my time and doing it. I had such a bad experience with this dr and his office that i want everyone to know. Let me start by saying that even though they were listed on my insurance as providers when i went there i was charge $950 for a crown when i was supposed to pay $450 they just come up with whatever # they feel like. The lady at the front rita, is so rude and manipulative. The assistant gave me her personal cell number for me to call her so that i would buy the whitening gel of her and not the office. And later on talking to a friend of mine about this place i found out that rita the office manager is a pot dealer son needles to say how messed up this business is. The dr himself was rude and did not explain the treatment i needed. It was all just horrible. Do not go to this office or you'll have a bad experience

I had an appointment at another dental office in which was cancelled. A family member referred Dr. Rothenberg, I called and they were able to fit me in their busy schedule. Dr. Rothenberg was the first dentist to make me feel comfortable with the procedure that I was about to have. The end results were dynamic! I will recommend his services to anyone in need of dental care.

The only reason I went to this office is because the hygienists are professional and do a good job. Rita, the receptionist is rude and very unprofessional. Dr. Rothenberg is disrespectful to his staff in front of you and has a horrible bed side manner. The office is filthy and I can not believe I lasted this long. I called with an emergency and Rita actually told me it was my problem. I should have called earlier. I went to another office. I was treated with respect and treated for a serious infection. By the way, he lies to get you to have work you don't need. One day I needed to have 3 cavities filled. I was not having any discomfort so I ignored him. Six months later, I had another cleaning and I was fine. I guess he had some massive bills at that time or needed a vacation. He needs to retire!!!

Tooth extractions were extremely painful. He seemed overly anxious (rarely smiled). Not a gentle dentist Staff is very friendly, concerned, helpful & willing to work out a payment plan.

I have basically visited this office because the dental hygenists have been very professional and effective. However, Dr. Rothenberg is rude, unfriendly and not a pleasant person at all. This is a money hungry office and after charging me for a filling I had to go back because the white bonding fell off and he charged me again then asserting he had never done it in the first place. I will NEVER go back to this horrible denitst

About Hygienist: Orlando was sent from heaven and is much above the caliber of this office. He's thorough, gentle professional and an excellent hygenist.

I went to see Dr. Rothenberg because he was on my insurance card (Aetna) website. The service was fast, but the ladies at the desk made me feel very uncomfortable. One receptionist was fighting with someone on the phone when I arrived. The doctor gave me a painful temporary crown and then told me it would be $950 to continue to treat it. The lady at the desk, Rita, made me give her $100 before I left because of all the work the doctor did. I tried to call back and talk to her about this charge three times and she continously hung up on me. I don't know if they even acknowledged that I had insurance. They might be charging me and my insurance, too. It was all very painful.

About Hygienist: Orlando was wonderful. He warned me that they were going to charge me extra. Thanks Orlando.

These ratings don't allow for n/a (not applicable) or "don't know," and that makes it tricky to rate things like cost when there are insurance factors to consider, because the cost may not relate to the dentist at all if your insurance is covering a procedure or determining your co-pay. Anyway, in my experience with Dr. Rothenberg, I was always examined and treated by the hygienist, but the Dr. himself did not check me most visits. When I went to another dentist due to a change in my insurance that had a much smaller network of dentists, tooth decay was discovered that was not found by Dr. Rothenberg. Now, if I had gone back and paid for the additional x-rays that I was supposed to do, then maybe he would have found the decay that now needs two crowns and a filling, but his hygienist had told the Dr. that she was concerned about an area and he did not look because he said that my insurance did not cover a full set of x-rays, and that I should pay for the x-rays, but they couldn't develop them that day anyway because they didn't have time, so I should come back another time. After my insurance change I went to a new dentist who used an x-ray machine that shows results immediately, not after eventually developing them later.

About Hygienist: It's nice to have your teeth cleaned by a hygienist, but the dentist who runs the practice should ALWAYS look him/herself after the hygienist finishes his/her work. Dr. Rothenberg may think that your insurance doesn't make it worth his time to look at your teeth himself, or for whatever other reason- he doesn't always do his own exam after the hygienist finishes the cleaning.

Facility and Dentist were OK. However the office staff is unbearable. Several times appointments were canceled or changed at the last minute and billing person repeatedly overcharges for dental procedures.

The most disgusting office I have ever been in. The doctor doesn't even introduce himself to you. He is only concerned with selling you a whitening process or cosmetic process. He could care less about your teeth's health. He never even bothered to take a set of x-rays on an exam visit. All the equipment is old. Yuch!!! Stay away!
