Dr Goodman is professional and knowledgeable. This root canal retreat was pain free. Dr Goodman took the time to explain what my situation was and what he was going to do. He gets high marks for excellent bedside manner. It is true, he is not the cheapest in town, and, to have that unpleasant procedure done in a pain free and expert manner made it well worth the price.
Note, never have your dentist do a root canal, leave that for the professionals, Dr Alan Goodman is that professional. He and his staff get my highest recommendation

Dr. Goodman could be quite a skilled dentist and wonderful at what he does but he has NO bedside manner and does NOT work well with anxious patients. He wants to get you in and out in a hurry and shows no compassion or empathy for people in his chair that are afraid. My experience at his office was SO terrible I literally walked out before they started the procedure. He told me using nitrous with valium was "against the law", which simply ISN'T true. They were supposed to use it for my procedure and agreed with my dentist when I was referred that they would. Then when I got there Dr. Goodman refused. I later found out that using nitrous is an inconvenience to the dentist as it makes doing the procedure a bit more tricky and he simply didn't want to deal with it. If you are fine with dental work and not afraid, he may be a great endodontist. But I highly discourage anyone who need or appreciates a warm and empathetic dentist that will have interest in caring for the person and their emotional experience.

I was referred to Dr. Goodman for a root canal on a filling that went bad. This was my first root canal. I am often very nervous in dental procedures, particularly fillings, and I was extremely anxious about this procedure, especailly given some of the horror stories I have heard. Dr. Goodman was very patient with me. The procedure was completely painless! He gave me a pain pill prescription for afterward, but I have had zero discomfort since the procedure was completed. I cannot tell you how happy I am to be able to drink cold water again without pain! I am so pleased with Dr. Goodman, and with my results. He made a very nerve-wracking procedure completely comfortable, and I am 100% better! Thank you!

Was referred for a root canal -- Goodman said I didn't need it, and it was so. But 4 years later, really needed one (on another tooth) and it was as painless and straightforward as can be. Excellent work. Cost of root canal in November 2010: $1400. Does take insurance.

Very nice guy. Excellent service ! Recommend to anyone ! Prices a little steep, but it is worth it when your talking about the health of your teeth. Very nice office, comfortable and clean. Overall a wonderful experience.

I have had multiple root canal treatments by Dr Goodman - all successful. With his expertise he was able to help me in conditons where other endodontists I approached required major bridge reworks that would far exceed my finanical abilities. Very skilled and efficient expert in his field, full of care and optimism. Higly recommended.
