I went in under the advertisement of a $59.00 dental cleaning with exam and x-rays. I called 3 times confirming that is was not bait and switch that I could get a $59.99 cleaning and was told yes. After a 40 minute wait in reception, I went back and told hygenist I really don't even care if she takes x-rays I just want the cleaning. She takes 18 x-rays an extreme exam, then the sell. I don't doubt if I wanted a perfect mouth but I voiced my desire for just a cleaning many times while in the chair as I said I was moving in 3 days. Hygenist said I needed a different cleaning and I asked the cost. She didn't know so I asked Dr. Ivan Negron, he didn't know but had front office print out. $1,700.00. Yes all out of a $59.00 cleaning. Honestly?? Wasted 2 hrs of my time. Cut the patient that is asking for only the" Cleaning" loose. I would of said Mrs. so & so our doctor does only cosmetic denistry, you would probably fit better at a dentist down the street if you are looking for a basic cleaning. Which I might add I have never had trouble getting before today 0727/2011. I only switched because I didn't take the dental insurance this year and this was $59.00...or was it??? I reused to pay anything & left.
