Dr Gorfien did a really awesome job on my 6 piece bridge. I was really shocked to see these other reviews on this site. I am afraid this might be a Gorfien bashing mess. Obviously, Dr Gorfien has been in business for over 30 years, so I don't believe any of this to be true. Secondly, that place is always packed and the phone rings so much it's hard to keep the receptionist engaged in conversation, hardly a sign of the picture painted of him.I love Dr Gorfien, he is so funny and down to earth! I would recommend Dr. Gorfien to anyone for cosmetic dentistry. I also was sent to him on a recommendation.

I was suppose to have 7 E-Max crowns bridged together on top front and 7 lower front E-Max crowns done but what I received were very poor quality porcelain crowns. I had to bitch and complain about the poor quality of crowns and told Dr Gorfien that I paid for E-Max Crowns and that is what I want. He got pissy and said that everything had to be redone and that he would redo them and put the E-Max crowns on that I paid for. The amount of time was a year and a half to get the work done. I bitched & complained about the amount of time it was taking and the treatment I received from the staff was not good either. He called the lab that did the work and had "Richie Rich", the head lab honcho @ lab, come and look at the work to see what I was complaining about. After 30 plus appointments I received the crowns but the ones I received were anything but perfect. They didn't fit flush to the gums and fit poorly. But at this point all I wanted was to get it all done and over with. I complained about the appearance of the work not being what I paid for but Dr Gorfien said that it was the best he could do and that it was done. I was suppose to go back to have Valplast Partials put in but there is NO F'ing WAY I AM GOING BACK TO THIS DR!!!!!!!!
About Front Desk: Aleen is a horrible rude receptionist and is Dr Gorfien's sidekick. She knows all of what is going on and is in everyone's business. I thought receptionists were ones running the front in and making appointments, not money collectors while you are sitting in the dental chair! No work is done until your dental bill is caught up! No Need to put my name down, you know who I am!!!!! Dr & Staff are terrible and I would definitely look elsewhere for dental work because this place sucks big time!!!!!
About Hygienist: Cleaniness was horrible. The Health Dept needs to shut them down. They have NO water for patients to rinse with after work done. You have to get up & go to the sink or to the bathroom to rinse!

Pushy , unclean facility my crown became infected 2 months after procedure, fell out while flossing a year later. At my new dentist ultimately had to have my battered tooth extracted.

I had the worst dental experience in my entire life I went for veneer to his office, and to make the story short, he finish the 10 veneers in only one hour, with this job normally can take from 3 to 5 hrs. at least. The next day the first veneers felt off, leaving behind an expose teeth so sensitive because of all the drillings he did. Two days latter two more veneers felt off and the same story. I call the office to get my money back and refuse be treated again by him, Oh, and lets not talk about the color of the veneers, they were horrible, white as a piece of paper. He never give me a color option During the time of the procedure, he used only two instrument for the entire job, did not use any magnifying glasses or a good light to see better, he was extremely nervous, rude and very insensitive. He was constantly pulling my head and totally ignoring my pain and suffering during the whole procedure. I left the office crying.
I went to see another dentist to obtain a professional opinion on the procedure done by Dr. Gorfein and he was horrified by what he saw. His words… Was he doing this on his garage? This is horrible, very sloppy. My God, I can’t believe that this was done by a professional. What is this?

overcharged me $300 (I paid $2000) and they agreed that they overcharged me. Then never reimbursed me. Kept lying to me about how long it would take with the story changing every time. He's a thief plain & simple. Do not trust him. Was this worth losing a long-time customer over? It shows money was the only thing that matters.... not to mention no hygienist, long waits, and he constantly takes personal cell calls in the middle of treating you
About Hygienist: he's the only dentist who doesn't have a hygenist

I would not recommend this dentist and have filed a complaint with the Florida Dentistry Board. About a month ago, I had broken off a wisdom tooth. My dad began seeing Dr. Gorfien. They had an arrangement where dad paid him in emeralds and rubies. Dr. Gorfien accepted them with the understanding that he would do my dental work. One of the emeralds were valued at 9000. He let me leave his office with this broken tooth and no treatment. He did not let me view the x rays. He did not do a cleaning.Yet he posts a new patient special for 50 bucks that includes the cleaning.
Gorfien wrote up a treatment plan that he discussed with dad but never with me. He wanted to charge 3500 and it was all or nothing. He would not fix my tooth unless I paid for veneers. I don't want veneers. I want my tooth fixed and my teeth cleaned.
Dad says that his bridge never was right and still hurts him. On the other side his gum keeps abscessing. Dr. Gorfien has been avoiding my dad and not returning his calls or the gems since he won't do the work as agreed. Meanwhile, last night another piece of my damaged tooth broke off. I discovered that Gorfien's license had been suspended in 2006 for professional misconduct followed by 2 years probation.
