i have had gum surgery and frequent cleanings from this dentist. he and his staff are very concerned, honest and genuine. i have 2 friends who also go to him (coincidentally in fact) and they are as pleased. you will not be disappointed.

Dr. Gara takes a *preventative* approach. Another dentisit advised I needed gum surgery, but Dr. Gara used procedures to clean below he gum line and avoid surgery. As a result my teeth and gums have continuously improved over the past 5 years and routine maintenance procedures are only needed 2x a year. Thank you Dr. Gara!

Dr. Gara did my gum surgery. His team and he did a very good job, all went as planned, I was well informed and felt totallly supported through the whole procedure. He has a great chair side manner, is direct and honest and I trust him. I would happily send the people I love to his treatment.

I have been going to Dr. Gara for a decade, and have had many procedures, most recently gum tissue grafts.
All the procedures have been successful. Pain management is excellent and Dr. Gara, his wife, and the rest of the staff are efficient amd compassionate. Dr. Gara himself always explains procedures and expectations in detail.
Perhaps not the cheapest doctor, but hey, it's your mouth!
Highly recommended.

Dr. Gara and his wife have made this family business the best of the best. His considerable periodontal skills are matched only by the dazzling edginess of his noir humor.

Dr. Gara and his team treated me carefully, with consideration and full information at each step. Each event was outlined for me in advance and so any discomfort was minimized and the results were outstanding. He has a calm chairside manner and is pleasant to visit. I would cheerfully return to visit him for any dental procedure. I felt great trust in his abilities and approach and was completely satisfied with his work.

Dr. Gara is the BEST! He completely cured my gums with NO surgery. He is a wonderful periodontist and person. His wife is the front desk manager and is very personable and GREAT. I cannot recommend this office enough. I tell everyone about him. He gives great advice, also, in reference to getting crowns, and other dental, He works with my dentist, Dr. Antonini, (a very great dentist here in the city - and open Satrudays...)
I actually look forward to going to him... The office is very very pleasant (and I am a phobic pain in the a___ and I do this with no trepidation...)

Dr. Gara saved my teeth and gums! He was the only periodontist who could convince me to take care of my gums and brought my gaps from 11s to no more than 2s and 3s.

I have visited Dr Gara three times. I was recommended to him by my dentist Dr Kadosh for gum work. On the first visit, he examined my teeth and gums. I expressed my concerns and my anxieties. He made me feel relaxed and explained to me everything I wanted to know. He performed a deep cleaning on my upper left quadrant on my second visit and it went well. Also during my second visit he prescribed 500 mg Amoxicillin and 250 mg Metronidazole three times a day for one week. I had strong reservations about taking these drugs. And Dr Gara did NOT alleviate my concerns. I decided not to take the prescibed drug regimen until I spoke with him again. At the start of our third meeting, I asked if it was possible to lower the dosage and extend the treatment. I also asked if a topical treatment was an option. Dr Gara was absolutely committed to his approach without taking into consideration how the drugs might effect the rest of my body. I mean, if the drugs produced sickness, or if I suffered an allergic reaction, then Dr Gara would have to prescibe a different approach. So why wouldn't he work with me to determine a safe and effective medicinal approach to treat an apparent infection of the gums? I am looking for another periodontist.
