Dr. Goldberg is simply the best. He does my root canals. Between making my first appointment with him and the actual event I heard lots of horror stories from friends and coworkers. I was plenty nervous!!! Reality is that he put me totally at ease. I comfortably slept through most of it. I apologized but he said he took it as a complement. Well...I complemented him during each of my subsequent r.c.'s. I fell asleep during each one. I have never had an adverse reaction of any kind. And I was very pleased to hear his voice on the phone the evening after, just checking to make sure everything was okay. Wonderful doctor.

My root canal experience with Dr. Goldberg was so good that it was almost enjoyable! My previous root canal experience was OK, but this one was excellent. Dr. Goldberg is gentle, calming, personable, skilled, and informative to the extent that the patient wants him to be. (He asks how much detail the patient is interested in hearing.) He keeps the comfort of the patient in mind at all times. In addition, he has a delightfully dry, understated sense of humor. The equipment seems to me to be state-of-the-art; the assistants are professional. Dr. Goldberg's office calls later in the day to see how the patient is feeling! Highest recommendation.

Caring, accomodating, extraordinary happy staff. Most important was decisions were made based on what was good for the patient, not what was going to enrich the doctor.

I am an endodontist who had to travel from my country, Spain, to get 2 root canals done by Dr. Barry Goldberg. I chose him because I know his work, and his character, from the time we where studying at BU.
When he found out that I was in pain, and suffering in Barcelona, while I was seeing a few dentists that could not take my pain away and that wanted to extract the tooth and place an implant, he called me and did everything to calm me down, and I knew then it was time to fly to Boston.
He has taken care of me while my stay, taking me into the office on saturdays and out of office hours, as many times as necessary, since my procedure turned to be quite difficult in managing pain, due to a car accident I had in that part of the face and due to the difficulty of the root canal treatments in my teeth due to my bruxism. Cracked teeth are pretty difficult to treat. He has done every effort to save my teeth without thinking on the time spent on my case, in the most generous way.
The cases have been finished with success and my pain is gone. I did not loose the tooth. I cannot express with words how grateful I am to him, and I recommend anybody needing a root canal to choose him as the endodontist of election.

When I found out I had to get my very first root canal I was terrified. Dr. Goldberg was incredible I had told him that I was afraid of needles and he did a magic three step process that allowed for no pain. He talked me through the entire procedure, before it started. As the procedure went on he let me know what was coming, what i should feel, and he even let me seen what the inside of my tooth looked like!
He and his assistant joked with me which made me feel very comfortable. After the appointment was over I received a call to ensure that I was doing well and to see if I had any questions or concerns. I've been back to see him for a couple more root canals and each one has been just as comfortable an experience as the first. I would recommend Dr. Goldberg to anyone and everyone!

Yesterday I was treated by Dr. Goldberg for an emergency root canal procedure. The first half of the treatment was virtually painless-right down to the novocaine injection! Dr. Goldberg was kind and reassuring , putting me at ease immediately. He explained the procedure as he went along which I very much appreciated.
So far I have received three calls from Dr. Goldberg's office (including one from Dr. Goldberg himself) to ask how I was doing. They also offered me an emergency contact for last evening which was even more reassuring! What dentist does that???
Lastly, the front office staff was wonderful to work with as well. They offered to help me understand my insurance coverage-even looking up the information for me! They were all also very pleasant and very accommodating.
I will update again after the second part of the procedure!

Yesterday, Dr Goldberg performed a root canal on a cracked tooth of mine that had been causing serious pain for days. I can't begin to express my gratitude to Dr Goldberg and the entire staff. I was terrified when I arrived at the office and certain that the pain that I was feeling would have to get worse, before it would be better?? Absolutely not!
With in moments of Dr Goldberg walking into the office, I was at ease and completely numb. His chair- side manner was a complete delight...is it possible that I might have actually even had FUN while undergoing a root canal??
His wonderful demeanor and his guarantee from the very beginning that he would not tolerate me to feel one once of pain (I did not feel ONE OUNCE of pain!) was assuring to say the least. The level of professionalism with which he and his assistant preformed the procedure, combined with the very sincere attention to my personal comfort, honestly made for a very positive experience.
The follow up call, later that evening to make sure that I was doing fine was just some icing in the cake!
I will not hesitate to go back to Dr Goldberg should I be in need in the future, and I will highly recommend his services to all that I hold near and dear in the future.

Dr. Goldberg performed a painless root canal on me. In the days to follow, I had a very small amount of tenderness. He is a very calm and reassuing dentist. I would highly recommend him.
The cost for the root canal was in lne with other specialists. SInce I am new to his office , I can nI ot comment about the billing . The repceptionist was very prompt and helpful.

I'm still unsure about the exact result that I am going to get from this root canal, but after having had multiple bad experiences, he is the best person I could have found.
Amazing. Pleasant. Professional and completely set me at ease when I was literally -terrified- to be there. it couldn't have gone better.
I'm concerned about the cost, but it was absolutely worth it do get the care and quality that I received.
I will not be scared to go back to him to get further work (knock on wood), should I ever have to.
