I would absolutely NOT recommend Dr. Mellin.
I was referred to Dr. Mellin for a very painful tooth. I arrived prepared with a list of questions for him, and was surprised to be evaluated only by the dental hygienist. He popped his head in and told me that she was capable, then left. She performed the same tests that my referring dentist did, and barely answered my questions. It felt like they were rushing me out of there. If I hadn't been persistant with my questions, I would have been in the office for under ten minutes. With the questions, the whole thing still took only 15 minutes. I wouldn't go back there if it was the last dentist office on earth. The whole experience was so off-putting, and I paid $100 for the pleasure.
