I used to be so terrified of dentists that I actually tried a hypnotist to calm my anxiety. (Let's just say that the world is a better place now that my childhood dentist is dead.) Dr. Risk is SO friendly & has recruited such an excellent staff that I now actually LOOK FORWARD to going to the dentist twice a year! My wife & I moved, and she tried a new dentist in our area who told her that she needed thousands of dollars of work on her moutheven saying that she had a cracked tooth. We went to Dr. Risk for a second opinion. He told her to simply change the toothpaste she used, & her tooth sensitivity disappeared. There was no cracked tooth. We have been driving over an hour just to go to Dr. Risk ever since. He is an honest, caring, professional with integrity. I dread the day that he retires & pray that he keeps going until he's over 100. His office may not be filled with flat-screen TV's, but the friendly people are enough to keep you occupied.
About Hygienist: The hygienist is SOOO gentle!!! She is young, but she does a better job than anyone I have ever visited. My teeth are clean, but I don't feel like I've been chewing glass when she's finished with me. Along with doing a great job, she is also one of the sweetest people who you could ever hope to meet. I simply cannot say enough good things about this place. Even if you're terrified of dentists, this is the place for you.
