Dr. Papworth is a top endodontist and I would not hesitate to trust or recommend him to anyone for treatment. He agreed to meet with me prior to my first root canal to address all of the concerns and questions I had. Two pain-free, successful root canals and 3 and 5 years later (respectively), I am once again hoping that anyone needing endodontic work reads my review and entrusts their care to Dr. Papworth. 10 stars, really.

I was referred to Dr. Papworth in extreme pain. For two years following the surgery I was telling my dentist that something was not right; that there was a bad taste and that area was sore. My dentist finally sent me back. Dr. Papworth appeared to be offended and went on and on about "well it's been two years!" I believe his ego is tripping him up. I changed dentists and went to a very good dentist who did a 360 xray after noting something wrong in that area (I hadn't said a thing, I'd given up). It CLEARLY showed a misplaced piece of bone under my gum, which is causing an infection. I'm going in for surgery again, but not with this egotistical screw up!!!!!

My first root canal by Dr. Papworth was the most uneventful (pain free, discomfort, broken file, etc.) treatment I have EVER experienced, and I have experienced MANY !! In the future I will never have a root canal performed again by a general dentist.

I had to have an infected root canal replaced. Due to the infection it took awhile for it to be cleared before the actual root canal could be completed. Dr. Papworth is very considerate of your comfort and will make sure you are doing well throughout the procedure. I had dental insurance so the cost wasn't that high and it was one cost, they didnt come back and say something wasn't covered. I would be happy to recommend him.
About Front Desk: Very professional and friendly. I called once because I had a concern but they were most helpful and knew what I was talking about and what I needed to do.

Horrible experience with Dr. Papworth. Treatment was not successful and failed almost immediately. I understand that procedures are not guaranteed and there is the possibility of it not being successful. However, Dr. Papworth would not even attempt re-treatment and would not explain why. I have since gotten second opinions from two different endodontists' in the area and they have both agreed the best option is re-treatment. Unfortunately this experience has cost me double the price, stress, and pain.

I had a root canal by Dr. Papworth a week ago. Since this is my first time root canal, I was a little bit worried about the pain, treatment success, etc. Dr. Papworth is very skilled and I didn't feel any pain during and after the treatment. Now I am making an appointment to do a crown by the general dentist.

I couldn't sleep for 2 nights I was so scared when my root canal appointment got closer. And all for nothing. Dr. Papworth is a great man who knows what he is doing. When he gave me the numbing shots he said; "you might feel a little sting, sorry". I didn't feel a thing. Then he left me there for about, I don't even know how long because I was already at a different place in my mind. I was calm. I felt like I was at a spa relaxing. When Dr. Papworth came back with his assistant he started working on my tooth and I didn't feel a thing. Of course I could hear the machines he used working but no pain at all. The doctor doesn't talk much, he rather concentrates on what he is doing. Sometimes he did ask if I was ok, other times he assured me with his kind words: "you are doing great" . Another tooth is do for a root canal but I will not lose sleep any more. I know I will be in the best hands ever because Dr. Papworth knows teeth. He has hands of gold. And of course a big thanks to his staff, to the wonderful ladies who encouraged me. Again, thank you doctor, you are the best!!! Everybody who is scared to have root canal done should go to Dr. Papworth, he will make you feel comfi, he'll take good care of you like you are family.
