Dr Rokita has good manners. And, other than having the good manners of an older man, that's about all I can say about this dentist. He is very old, is not up to date in his practice, and is not up to date in the current standards of practice for dentistry. He's a nice old man, but he really needs to retire from his practice and go home.

Dr. Rokita only spends 15 to 20 minutes cleaning your teeth when you come in for a regular 6 month check-up, while a typical cleaning should be from 45 to 60 minutes anywhere else you go. When I went to a highly recommended dentist in Chicago and they saw my teeth for the first time, they asked me when was the last time I had my teeth cleaned. I told them it was only 2 weeks ago from Dr. Rokita. The Chicago dentist couldn't believe it because of all the staining & plaque still on my teeth in the molar areas. So then I started asking around people I would meet who live in the Munster area who their dentist was and how long does it typically take for them to clean your teeth at their regular 6 month check-up. Well to my expectation, they all said in the time ranges of 45 minutes to 1:15 minutes. So that further supports my statement that Dr. Rokita does not do a complete cleaning, he just does the highly visible parts of your teeth that a typical patient would notice when smiling or looking in the mirror, he doesn't do a good enough job on the molar areas which are the important areas that are most susceptible to root-canals, cavities, and extractions. Bottom line, better be safe than sorry &go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

About Hygienist: Dr. Rokita may be a friendly and nice guy, but he doesn't do a complete job for cleanings and he doesn't wear rubber gloves when going inside your mouth, which is what every dentist is SUPPOSED to do because it's a health violation if you don't. People should know the truth.
