Back in 2011, Dr. Kim performed a root canal in my left molar. The mere thought of a root canal was harrowing and it made me very anxious. To my delight, Dr. Kim and his staff were very attentive, delicate, and patient with me. I can truly say that it was a wonderful experience. In 2020, my tooth cracked and I was unable to see a dentist due to the pandemic. I live in Westchester, NY, and met with a local dentist who told me that the molar might have to be extracted. I was determined to meet with Dr. Kim for his diagnosis. Fortunately, last week Dr. Kim said that my tooth could be saved!! I highly recommend Dr. Kim and his staff to anyone who wants excellent treatment. Dr. Kim spares nothing to provide the best care to his patients! I also need to mention that Sophie, Dr. Kim’s star office manager, left an indelible impression on me. Sophie is one of the most compassionate, proficient, and caring people that I’ve ever met. I can’t thank Dr. Kim, Sophie, and the rest of his staff enough!! I’ll see you soon…

Excellent. If you have a complicated situation where dentists and other endodontists and oral surgeons are saying things such as "just take it out" and implant and bone graft, sinus lift, etc. Halt. Consult Dr. Kim first. I had been to 4 dentists who chose not to acknowledge, or completely missed a large infection which led to an infection in my sinus and my eye which medical doctors were not so good at handling (useless). After some research, I learned of Dr. Kim. So, I went for a consult. I am sure I must have frustrated Dr. Kim with all my concerns and questions, as I had a number of botched treatments and surgeries, etc that led to me being here. And, then I paged him post treatment with questions. In the end, I am very thankful I found him. He cleared the infection completely in the jaw and then, the nose, the eye, etc all cleared up. 3 months later I could see on the x-ray that I am healing very well. Make him your first stop. I paid out of pocket, no insurance, unemployed so it was really steep for me. Comparable to the cost of the bone graft, sinus lift, implant that an oral surgeons quoted me. But, this is quicker, less risk and less damaging to other teeth, etc.

Past surgeries led to a large infection that 4 dentists (WELL rated) ignored or were unable to recognize although obvious on THEIR x-rays. The infection spread to sinus and eye. Fevers, flu-like, so sick. Endos and Oral surgeons wanted to take the tooth out "not enough bone for an apico re-treat and that it woud fail." I was concerned by endo and surgeon recommendations for implant, bone graft, sinus lift. I wanted less surgery, not more. And, how could the surgeon let me go home with a bad infection and no antibiotics??? I researched who other endos would see. Dr. Kim literally wrote the book on the procedure I had done. He recognized the urgency during the consult and made time that very packed day for my surgery. I was very nervous, concerned, unsure, asked a ton of questions and made his hectic day more hectic. 2 practicing endos happened to be visiting and observed the technique. Pictures along the way. It was very expensive but the better decision. Bone is healing well. Other infections (sinus, eye) cleared up post surgery. I do not have dental coverage and am unemployed. The procedure was comparable to the quotes that the oral surgeons gave for the bone graft, sinus lift, implant.

I've had major problems with a post that was misplaced by my former dentist. The hole for the post was drilled off center into the jaw, causing inflamation and recession of the bone. Since this tooth was one of the basis for a bridge, the whole prothesis was jeopardized and I would have needed 2 implants and a new crown to close the gap. Dr. Kim opened the jaw, cut away the post reaching into the jaw, sealed the root and managed to get the bone to rebuild. Magic! This saved me from going throught months of treatments and spending a fortune. I had absolutely no pain during and after surgery except for slight discomfort during the healing process. Dr. Kim called after surgery and checked the tooth/jaw every 3 months for more than a year without charge. On another incidence, where I was about to loose another tooth, caused by malpractice of my former dentist, Dr. Kim again performed magically! I had a root resection done earlier and for unknown reasons the tip of the root was left in the jaw, causing a tremendous inflamation. Critical on this surgery was, that the tip was located very close to my sinus. Guess why it was left there! Dr. Kim is absolutely the best!

Generally good atmosphere, and accomodating regarding times (there are no early afternoon appointments). Costwise ok - sometimes intransparent. Usually good advise and referal to specialists in case he cannot do the work.
