I've been going to Dr Lim's practice for about five years.
Recently I had a problem that needed either a bridge or an implant. A bridge would have compromised the healthy adjacent tooth. The implant post was done, 6 days later it was removed because of continuing pain, numbness and extreme swelling. The post had been put in extremely close to the root of the adjacent tooth - the one that we were trying to protect by not doing a bridge. It took 3 months for sensation to return to my jaw. At every one of my many follow-up visits I complained of pain in the adjacent tooth that began immediately after the implant. I was told repeatedly by both Dr Dempsey and by Dr Gilo (specialists in her practice) that it would take six months to resolve. Almost six months after the implant, Dr Lim responded to my complaint of pain by filing down some of the tooth. No one suggested an x-ray. When the pain continued I finally sought another opinion. I saw both an oral surgeon and an endodontist in a different practice who immediately did an x-ray. The tooth had died. I needed a root canal to alleviate the pain. If my complaint had been investigated, perhaps my tooth could have been saved, I certainly could have been spared 6 months of pain.

Dr. Lim has been my dentist for years, and over this time she has really impressed me with her professionalism and the quality of her work. I have 3 sets of fillings that she made. They look like my real teeth.

I came to Dr.Lim after having a difficult experience from the dentist who put my veneers on. She is a great dentist and I would refer her to anyone. Her staff is top notch as well.

Beautiful office with great mags and music. Very relaxing space. Dr. Lim is very professional and very curt. She also has very strong opinions on the practice of dentistry. Once I heard her tell the dentist who was working on my mouth that his posture was incorrect for the dentist chair!
I've had fillings replaced by Dr. Strober and he was excellent. Dr Lim did a teeth whitening process for me and it went well too. She routinely hires new young dentists and they do a good job.
Despite my many years of visiting her practice, Dr. Lim is exceptionally chilly and every meeting seems very perfunctory.
And while the Dentists and the hygenists are always of uniformly high quality (and always handsome or beautiful too...Dr. Lim has a good eye for every visual element in her practice!).
The front desk is ever changing. I've never had major problems but definitinely the weakest link. I've never had insurance issues either. Costs are about what I expect....high, but fair for the neighborhood.
About Hygienist: Mylene Nyugen is terrific. She's the reason to go to Tremont Dental...I'm not kidding!

Dr Lim is an excellent dentist who has a no-nonsense approach. That no-nonsense approach can lead to people thinking that she is too brusque but in the end she and her staff are great. I left her for a year and am now going back because you don't know what you have until you don't have it.
