He is wonderfully skilled and very conservative. He doesn't tell you to do anything unless it is necessary.

Excellent dentist. I've had fillings and crowns and all pain free. He is never rushed and takes the time to explain a procedure (and options, including putting off a procedure for awhile, if that's an option.) He never tries to "sell" you on more work than you need, but he will be insistent if you do need to fix something. When needed, he refers his patients to the best specialists (I once had a painless root canal the day before I left on vacation!) In my mind, the perfect dentist!
About Hygienist: Excellent, painless hygienic work. Susan is the best (and most personable) hygienist I've encountered in 50 years of going to the dentist!

Superb dentist. Great dental hygienists. I have been going to Dr. Shaff for 20 yearas and wouldn't consider letting anyone else touch my teeth!

Convenient location (particularly if you're looking to go during lunch), great doctor and staff is very pleasant.

I moved to Boston from Maine, I had the same dentist growing up so it was my first change in nealy 20 years. Dr. Shaff was WONDERFUL, he is full of personality and cares about his patients. It always amazed me that he remembered little details about my life only seeing me 2x's a year!!! Lynn is the greatest hygenist too!!!

Dr. Shaff and his entire team are a great group of people who always respond to phone calls, schedule changes, emergencies with efficiency and humanity. Not often found in a dentist office. If you are uncomfortable, anxious about going to the dentist this is the place for you. From the reception area to the hygenists to Dr. Shaff himself - a truly outstanding operation.

Dr. Shaff is a friendly and professional dentist. He hygienists are knowledgeable and caring. Dr. Shaff gives his patients ample personal attention. I highly recommend him.
