Dr. Korb is an excellent dentist. He's a bit of a perfectionist, but that's okay. It's a shame he tried to market himself as a cosmetic dentist, since that did seem to diminish his credibility. He's one of those people who's easy to like but you're kind of unsure at first whether to trust. Nonetheless, it all worked out.

I'd say Dr. Korb is an average dentist. I probably wouldn't have gone out of my way to go to him, but he did an adequate job. What I found odd is that he left town rather abruptly. I'm sure he had his reasons, but his doing so definitely lowered my opinion of him. When he was my dentist, it felt like he cared about us patients, but when he up and left us like that, I just didn't know what to think. However, overall he did a decent job.

Dr. Korb was one of the best dentists I've had. However, his marketing efforts were too blatant. After I had become an established patient, I found out that he advertised with coupons. I find that to be in poor taste. After all, would you go to a cardiologist who distributes coupons offering a free stent with every angioplasty? Coupons are for groceries, not for health and well being. If I wasn't already a patient, I never would have gone to him in the first place. His waiting room became uncomfortable when he hung a giant picture of some large heads with sparkling white teeth. The whole thing was completely out of scale for his tiny waiting room. And no, seeing the giant white teeth didn't sell me on teeth whitening. He didn't even have any magazines. Without year-old news magazines, how am I supposed to keep up with current events? No, seriously, all the reading material in Dr. Korb's office was clearly placed there for one purpose: to sell. If it weren't for the marketing, I would have recommended Dr. Korb to friends and colleagues. But I wasn't comfortable sending people I like to a place that was out to sell them something. I still think Dr. Korb is a great dentist. But the marketing tactics make him look bad.

Dr. Korb has a particular fondness for the latest in dental gadgets. This isn't a bad thing, really, because that's how you know he's keeping up to speed. Personality-wise, he's even tempered most of the time, soft spoken usually, and is quite the gentleman always. The only time a procedure even remotely hurt was when the anesthesia wore out once. But he was so engrossed in what he was doing, I just sucked it up and didn't say anything. He's definitely the best.

Dr. Korb was the best dentist in the Beltsville area. I actually looked forward to my appointments with him. Miss him terribly. Haven't found a suitable replacement yet. :(
