Worst dentist ever. My veeners broke and fell out. I went several times with little success but a lot of arrogance. I finally went to another dentist who fixed the problem at half the price. I will never return.

I came in to Dr. Dorrow's office as a new patient, and luckily for me, I am blessed with very good teeth! Though the wait was a little longer than expected, he was friendly and to the point. This is very near my work, so I doubt I'll be going anywhere else (I take the metro to work). Also, he's the only one that accepts my insurance (HMO-like plan--avoid at all costs!)

I first met Dr. Dorrow when I was 13. I had busted my front teeth in an accident, and my grandfather took me to his dentist... and I've never seen another one since. Dr. Dorrow and all of his assistants are wonderful people - friendly, pleasant, informative and relaxing. Being curious, I like that they'll explain everything to you, from how to why. I recommend him as often as I can to friends and relatives. His office is welcoming and homey, with fantastic vintage objects to look at and tea and bread while you wait (the best bread I've ever tasted, by the way). His rates are a bit higher than the average, but it is well worth it for the excellent service and feeling of belonging. As close as you can get to the proverbial country doctor atmosphere. Re: my cosmetic treatment. Both front teeth were capped (after outside root canals from a great referral); the process was efficient and the results were supreme. He brought in a tooth designer to match my natural calcium striping. These crowns have been undetectable for 13 years. My doctor-phobic boyfriend saw him in an emergency, and now WANTS to go back. I went to college in New York, but still went to him for my appointments, and would if I moved again. What more can I say?

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Stanley Dorrow. As a child I was terrified of the dentist. Most were extremely impatient and seldom waited for the effects of the novocaine to work. Therefore, I typically was in a lot of pain. Therefore today at age 42, I am still nervous at the idea of receiving most dental treatments. Doctor Dorrow's office has a charming inviting environment. His office is situated in a large home filled with antiques, an oversized fireplace and a parlor where patients can unwind. They have the latest innovations in technology and a wonderfully warm and attentive staff that makes you really feel at home. It's obvious they see their patients as extended family and I immediately felt at ease. For the first time that I can remember (and after several visits to the various dentists in the area), I have overcome my anxiety. It was indeed a pleasure. DMM Silver Spring, MD
