I found Dr. August during a dental emergency. I'd just moved to Germantown, and started feeling marked pain in a tooth. I called his office and he saw me that day. He performed a thorough examination and referred me to an endodontist. After the endodontist performed the root canal, I returned to Dr. August for the crown. He has been my dentist ever since.
Dr. August is splendid. He is friendly and professional. His staff does an excellent job during each visit. He performs the most comprehensive oral examination of any dentist I've ever visited. I highly recommend Dr. August to all of my friends. His office is also very "kid-friendly" for those with kids.
About Hygienist: The hygienist always does a superlative job. I leave the office with my teeth and mouth feeling fantastic! She is very thorough and helpful.

Really lousy job - This dentist filled my cavity in a way hard to floss, the teeth adjacent to it got pretty bad cavity in a year. Told my husband not to worry about the insurance, and then charged my husband thousands of dollars without sending the estimation to the insurance before hand. When I ask the mean and cold receptionist the x-ray so I can switch to other dentist, she wanted to charge me $25. For your own good, dont visit this dentist.

Dr. August is the best dentist we've had. We've even followed him from Frederick to Germantown a few years ago outside our dental plan. He's worth the extra trip and effort.

The best dentist I have ever had. It pains me to think I will have to leave him under my new employer's dental plan. He's patient, warm, funny and a really good dentist. He has the equipment in his office to design and "chisel" crowns, which is a tremendous time-saver. I am trying to arrange it so that I can stay with Dr. August because he is that good! I can't say enough positive things about him!

Dr. August is one of my favorite people! He is professional, pleasant, patient, tireless, and he has a wondeful sense of humor.
He did intense work for me, and the results were perfect. Dr. August is an extremely intelligent man, and he is a dentist I cannot recommend highly enough.
I respected Dr. August so much, that when he moved from Frederick (Maryland) to Gaithersburg, I traveled 'down the road'
---45 minutes--- to his office.
When I moved to Scranton, Pennsylvania, I was sorely tempted to keep him as my dentist, and make the trek from Scranton to Gaithersburg every six months. The only reason I did not opt to do that was it would have been most impractical if I had had an emergency.
I miss Dr. August and his staff. I actually enjoyed going to the dentist. I could have fallen asleep in the chair: I felt so relaxed becauseI never suffered any pain and I trusted him completely. Aside from that, I grew to like him so much, that, I consider him a friend.

Dr. August is a great dentist. He has worked on my teeth, my husband's teeth and our 5 year old son's. He makes the experience painless and fun. I recommend him highly.
