dr brown did 4 fillings for me when I was 16-18 years old. since then I have had several other dentists ask me who did them because they were done so poorly. I am now 30 and I just had a filling split my tooth, cracking it in 2 places. when my dentist repaired it he said "the way these fillings were done could be grounds for a lawsuit". dr Brown apparently took out way too much tooth, carved it out down to the nerve, and then did not put the normal buffer layer but instead put straight mercury filling on top of the nerve. angled like a wedge on a log my current dentist said it was only a matter of time before it split my tooth. now I may look at losing a tooth at age 30 when every tooth untouched by dr brown is in perfect condition. the other fillings I have were done the same way, some with 2 different types of material, another thing that has baffled other dentists. one said it looked like he used whatever he had lying around". I hated him as a kid because of he was so cheesy and dorky, and now he has ruined my teeth.

He is always suggesting procedures which are not needed. Terrible book keeping..I found out he was billing wrong amounts to the insurance company after 2 years...he charges you if you miss even one apoint mentioned without telling you that there will be a late charge..he extracted one ok of my healthy tooth and tried justifying it..it was a painful procees..he took it out in 3 pieces..please do not be fooled and go to another dentist...unhappy staff..the office may look clean...unfortunately you can not add your review on his website...hope it changes soon...SAVE ur TEETH..do not go to stuart brown dentist of owings millls..hope is not practicing else where...

Poor quality work and very expensive prices. I had numerous crowns completed and it took MANY, MANY tries to get them up to the standard of care. In some cases, they were inserted improperly and I continue to have problems with these teeth that need additional work done, at my own cost. Often "over-booked" appointments and didn't spend enough time with each patient to make sure that the work was done properly.

Dr Brown is always cordial and talkative. He knows what he is doing and always does a very good job. His charge for front caps was reasonable. Insurance was taken into account. My only complaint is what he charged me for a root canal. It was $800. Unfortuntly he had to send me to an Endodontist who also charged me another $800. After this he was able to complete all the work needed. According to my insurance only half should have been charged from him. I would recommend him to someone else. I would, however, look at what he is supposed to charge, according to what insurance he accepts.

About Hygienist: There have been two different hygientist to clean my teeth. The first one, that I had for one year was terrific. But the last one I used was terrible. I didn't realize she was doing a cleaning until I asked her.

Dr. Brown is the most pleasant relaxing dentist I have ever had. Except that his work is terrible. I had to have everything redone by Army dentists (and that isn't an upgrade). He missed a root canal and crowned it. All his work later got worse and cost me additional thousands of dollars and countless visits. While sitting in the chair, I overheard numerous dentists remark "what in the world is this" or "oh my goodness, I can't believe this" etc. Awesome person - crappy work.

Two prosthtics in front. Excellent job. I am very happy with this work. Never looked better. Reasonably priced too. He also replaced many teeth and fixed cavities as well. Hygienist is the best I've ever had. Very considerate and no pain. Excellent job. I do not remember her name unfortunetly. Just look on my record.
