My wife and I have been going to Dr. Mistretta for 25 years. We have enjoyed his work so much, that we continue to drive 65 miles one way to continue with him. The staff is very friendly and the office is maintained at the highest level of cleanliness. Dr. Mistretta never fails to amaze us with how he keeps current with Dental equipment and procedures. Also pleasing is his administrative staff's competence with dealing with insurance claims. We would strongly recommend him to anyone requiring dental procedures.

About Hygienist: Very professional in their work, attentive to what they see and working well with Dr. Mistretta in that they bring suspected problems to his attention and also very personable in their decorum, the Hygienists are first rate.

His calm and consistent demeanor is reassuring, and as my family has grown he has taken on my twin boys, now eleven, and they think he's great.

Dr. Mistretta did 3 crowns for me: he had to do one of them 3 times because he couldn't get my bite right - this same crown now has to be replaced as he did such a bad job fitting it that that decay has gotten under the crown in just 2 years. I just had to have a root canal in another crown he did a year or so ago - because when he was drilling out the tooth he exposed the root, stuffed it with cotton and put a filling over the cotton and then a crown. This resulted in a the development of a large absess because a root canal should have been done before the crown was put on. So far the third crown he did is still intact - but who know what might be under that one! Just wish it hadn't taken me 8 years to learn what kind of work he does. Luckily, I broke a tooth while Mistretta was out of town so I went to someone else who discovered the other problems. To add insult to injury Mistretta also gives very most painful shots. I rate him very expensive because the work he has done had to be re-done - making it extremely expensive.

Great family dentist! Dr. Mistretta has cared for our entire family since we moved to Maryland and we are very pleased with his care. His office is comfortable and staff is diligent. A really nice guy!

Dr. Mistretta is the best family dentist I have ever met in the past 11 years. He is kind, professional, and very competent. Unfortunately, I moved to a new home about two hours away. I have been trying to find another dentist close to my home to replace him. So far I have not succeeded.

About Hygienist: Dr Mistretta's office has a very competent dental hygienist. I am completely satisfied with her work. Since I moved, I went to several other dentists' offices to have my teeth cleaned. None of those offices gave me the same sparkly clean teeth afterwards. I am thinking about going back to Dr Mistretta's office despite the dreadful, two-hour commute.

Dr. Mistretta is a great general dentist with a great chair-side manner and warm demeanor. He is also great about keeping up to date with new technology and procedures. You will have an overall great experience at his office, from the front desk to the dental hygenists, to Dr. Mistretta!

Courteous receptionist, talented & personable hygienist, and professional dentist. I've been to dentists before where you feel more like you're in a store enduring rude high pressure sales staff, and payment occurs before insurance is submitted. Dr. Mistretta's office is exactly the opposite. I'm staying with this dentist.
