I became Dr. Toyer's patient by default. I had gone to the Univ. of Md Sch. of Dentistry to have two procedures done and was assigned to a Dental Resident. First what started out as a root canal ended up being several sessions of painful drilling and a temporary crown. Then I had veneers applied to six of my front teeth to improve my smile. Everything I bit into broke my veneers and had numerous return visits for repair. On my sixth visit, I learned that the Dentist had completed the Residency and left for private practice. Needless to say, I felt dissapointed and guilty because I thought I was becoming a bother. I was then assigned to Dr. Toyer. At first I was sceptical (no valid reason) but after he completed his exam, I learned not only my veneers were improperly done...so was the procedure to save my tooth. I sensed Dr. Toyer was unsettled by what he saw but with great proffesionalism and reassurance to me, he did the root canal I NEEDED and he replaced my broken veneers. I was extremely pleased with the quality of his work but when ready to have porcelain bonding, I learned he had left. I am in the process of locating him as I'm about ready to replace my veneers with porcelains...I recommend him highly!
