I went to Dr. Andrew for the root canal. But they don't let you know you are out of network of my insurance until you have done you visit. Then you will see the huge payment as out of network insurance. So I was changed almost $100 and my insurance paid $150 for just the estimate of the treatment. Then if I do the root canal with them, I will pay myself $800 with insurance paying $1000. Then they told me that I need to pay so high because they are out of my insurance network. Why don't you tell me earlier? So I have to walk away from them as I feel they are cheating.

I've had dental work from many different dental professionals. Dr. Romero took great care of making sure I was comfortable and provided the absolute best for me. In fact, I have a section of my mouth that all previous endodontics providers were unable to get me numb, he took the extra care to make sure I was comfortable and numb. This was an incredible experience and I will be returning for all of my future needs. Do yourself a favor if you are looking for top notch care you found it! I even received a follow up call the next morning to see how I was feeling and that I took my antibiotics. I have never had such high level of service and felt so completely comfortable and confident in the care I received. pss Loved that he was current with technology even the x-rays were quick, easy and comfortable. AMAZING!!!! 5 Stars are not enough!!!

About Front Desk: great help. From appointment to follow up. I could not be more pleased!!

I totally agree with the first reviewer. Dr. Romero is competent doctor, but he doesn't care about patients.

About Front Desk: The receptionist gave me the wrong estimate, and had very unpleasant attitude, but very clean office.

Dr. Romero is certainly a competent Endodontist. He works fast, efficiently, and detached. This review isn't about his skills as a dentist, which as far as I can tell, are strong. This review is about his compassion, empathy, and his ability to take in integral information that could have a big impact on the procedure. My situation is unique. I have an underlying condition that can be exceptionally difficult for both me and any dentist trying working on me. When trying to explain that to Dr. Romero and his asst., it was clear (1) he didn't care, (2) he didn't want to hear it, and (3) he didn't care. That's a problem for me. When I see a health professional, I expect them to take an integral interest in my health history, particularly when it can have a huge affect on both the outcome and the procedure itself. Fortunately, things went off without a hitch. But that isn't because of his thorough understanding of what he was facing, it was because my condition decided (thankfully) to take a day off). Not a dentist I would ever go see again. I get the feeling that his office is about getting as many people in and out as possible.

About Front Desk: A little cold, but helpful. I suspect they reflect their boss. One note: when I commented that the doctor must be a fan of modern art (the office is filled with it), she said, "I don't have the faintest idea." Really? Sounds like Dr. Romero also maintains a healthy distance from his staff.

I had a cracked molar that needed immediate attention. He got me in and pulled my tooth but demanded an estimated payment in advance. After the insurance the amount was less and they never sent a refund. When all bills were submitted to the insurance for this tooth, he had charged over $2,500 in total for working on and pulling 1 tooth. I would not recommend this dentist!

About Front Desk: When I questioned all the charges, the staff member got very defensive and difficult to work with.

I had pain in one of my molars. I was referred to Dr. Romero. Although Dr. Romero had a busy schedule, he was able to see me on a very short notice. I had a very good experience at his office from the moment I stepped in till I left. The doctor used state of the art technology and explained the problem and the treatment options very clearly. The staff were very friendly and it showed that they care. I will be going back to Dr. Romero's office for the secon part of my root canal. I have confidence that it will go well. I recommend Dr. Romero to every person who needs root canal treatment. Take my words for it!
