My 7 year old daughter had an abscessed baby tooth that had previously broken and was filled twice by another dentist. Dr. Chen made excellent rapport and had an amazing ability to explain what he was doing by using age appropriate language and explanations, keeping my daughter at ease and calm. Also eased my concerns with gas / local anesthetic during the procedure. He answered my questions about fluoride vitamins and sealants. He was able to remove that tooth on the first visit. I was able to be with her during entire procedure. After the tooth was out, he made sure to give it back to her in a little treasure chest for the tooth fairy. My daughter had no complaints of pain prior to tooth removal or after the local anesthetic wore off. We will definitely stick with Dr. Chen as long as we live here. I had a challenging time trying to find a good pediatric dentist that accepts our insurance after moving here from NYC last year. I am happy that I did a little research and found this dentist.
About Front Desk: Waited for over a month to get an appointment due to summer vacation. Even though Dr. Chen is only at this office one day per week, she was able to get the next appointment is after school ends in the afternoon. It was worth the wait to see a great dentist. Front desk staff were friendly, but amount charged was slightly off from insurance claim paperwork we received afterward, but we have another appointment...I'm sure they will make it right. It was about $20 over what the insurance paperwork stated.
