Read Reviews for Dr. Palak Patel
I started my braces treatment with Dr. Grant, who primarily owned the practice until he started transitioning his work over to Dr. Patel. Half-way through the treatment, Dr. Patel started adjusting my braces. Long story short, seek an orthodontist if you really want your teeth to look the best they can. After about 2 years into the treatment, I voiced my concern to Dr. Patel that my top set of teeth were off-centered and over-corrected to one side. Dr. Patel brushed off my concerns and assured me my top set of teeth were finished. For another opinion, I had a consultation with a certified orthodontist who confirmed my concerns, and suggested that I seek treatment with an orthodontist near my college when I went back in the fall. After explaining this to Dr. Patel, she only then acknowledged my concerns and said she could fix it. Thus, if you're looking to put so much money into your teeth, do it right the first time so you do not end up in braces again down the road to correct what was done the first time by a regular dentist. Dr. Patel is a very nice Doctor and I respect her work as a dentist, however, I would not recommend seeking her services for braces. See a certified orthodontist for $1500 more.
About Hygienist: The hygienists are all very nice. Ellie cleaned my teeth during my braces treatment and she was very sweet and knew what she was doing. She was very gentle and enjoyed explaining what she was doing/any advice she had. Other dental assistants and the secretary were also very nice and personable.

First off let me say that Dr. Patel is the nicest, most caring dentist you will ever meet. I have horrible anxiety and she is the only dentist that I will go to. I came to Dr.Patel after not being able to chew on both sides of my mouth for over 5 years because I had a horrible dentist that I saw out in Vestal. Dr. Patel fixed his bad work, gave me a couple of fillings, extracted my wisdom teeth and gave me a root canal and now I am able to chew pain free. Dr. Patel is the only dentist that I recommend in the triple cities area, and she is very good with people who fear the dentist chair. The root canal and fillings she gave me were much more affordable than the ones I had done at Gental Dental in Vestal, other than that I am not sure how she compares in prices with other Binghamton area dentists.
