Dr. Gentles is a Greek god of dentists. Friendly, helpful , and has accommodated me with 3 emergency procedures. His staff is #1. Very, very happy with the doc...

He lets the assistant do most of the work and doesn't check it . Doesn't explain what he is going to do. Not friendly.

Fine for cleaning, however went off last years xrays, if he took them this year we might have seen I didnt need the filling I went back for, I needed a root canal, so they temporary filling in and I went back 3 weeks later for root canal, which they could not do after drilling part way because i could feel it, so THEN they took a new xray, stuck another temp filling in and referred me to a specialist who I have another 12 days before i can get in and 48 hours later my tooth is still hurting really bad, it didnt hurt at all before my original appointment....

This office staff does not talk to you about what they are doing at all. When we first went to this dentist it was for my kids. I noticed that they just said, come on back, sat them down, and started working, not communicating to them what they were doing at all. I complete my 2 kids visit, and thought about not going back. From that appointment they said on needed a filing, so we did that but I asked them to tell him what they were doing as they went and I stood watching. Finally, since I hadn't been to the dentist for a few year, I went ahead and went. I had a check up, and wasn't too happy with the process, (little communication still, didn't seem like past dentist, something didn't feel right) but thought I was being too picky. Told I needed 2 fillings I went ahead. Now, going in I asked them to tell me what they were going to be doing. All fine, till they stuck the needle in and I felt like I was being shocked, like something causing pins & needles feelings had splattered all over me? They said, "hold still" and "I guess we hit the nerve". Now 2 1/2 hours later I'm having more difficulty talking than I did an hour ago. What's up with that??? I called, they say it's no big deal...it happens
