I recently switched to a new dentist because I was unhappy with the increasingly brief exams provided in this office. I was told by Dr. Deines every 6 months for 15-20 years that everything looked good and to "keep doing what I was doing". So I was completely shocked to learn after a very thorough dental exam by my new dentist that I have gum disease and moderate bone loss that was never detected in those brief exams and must now be treated by a periodontist. At least it was discovered before I lost any teeth which can be the first symptom the patient has if not diagnosed by the dentist or hygienist. On a thoroughness scale of 1 to 10, my new dentist is a 10 and sadly, Dr. Deines is a 2. Patient beware!

About Hygienist: If she took pocket depth measurements and had any concerns, she never let me know. I've now learned a thorough exam includes 6 recorded measurements around each tooth (3 on the inside and 3 on the outside).

My whole family has seen Dr. Deines for one thing or another. I keep going back because he has always been upfront with me and knows my history. His office Is wonderful and always greet me as I walk in. I would definitely refer him to anyone.

The office is extremely well kept! But not too ostentatious to make you think you're paying for the office. Extremely profession, courteous, and patient-friendly. I've never been over-sold on procedures, and I've been a patient since a child.

About Front Desk: Perfect- Nancy & Cathy are extremely friendly, personable, professional. Never a problem.

I've been to several Dentist over the last 40 years and this team, Kelly and his wife, are the best. Never try and sell you something, tell's you the facts, what it takes to make it right and does a complete job with no over charging. If he can't do it, he referres you to someone that can that is equally as good and honest. If the proceedure he does runs into some kind of problems he tells you up front and finishes what he says he's going to do. If he messes up, which is very rare, he'll fix the mistake and not charge you for it. Good luck setting an appointment with him as he is usually booked a month or two in advance. I suggest you tell them to call you if someone cancels their appointment. Try and laught at all of his jokes because he thinks he's funny, it makes the proceedure go quicker. Tell him I said hello to "Mr Thirsty"

Deines is honest and reasonable. He always puts the patients best interest above his own. I feel lucky to have him as my Dentist - And no, I don't work there. I just went to a different dentist and realized how great he is in comparison to other dentists and I wanted other people to have a chance at avoiding those awful ones out there. Good luck!
